TraceyL | 76 comments Is anyone else thinking about doing the Goodreads Summer Reading Challenge? It's just a simple challenge with 2 levels of prompts, and I think everything can be done with Sword and Laser books (or at least Sword and Laser adjacent). Here's a link to their blog post:

I just like challenges in general. I don't think they have a specific place for people to post what books they've read, although if there are a bunch of us wanting to take part I suppose we could post it here, just to see what other people have been reading for it.

Based on that list of prompts, it sounds like most people are not very adventurous in their reading. I wonder if that’s an assumption or based on actual data.

Most people I know outside of the Goodreads community always read the same kind of books without branching out. Only domestic thrillers, or only Danielle Steel, or only small town detective mysteries. The covers may change but the plots don't. I wouldn't be surprised if there's data to back that up. Or maybe I just know some very boring people.

Of course we do, whatever are you talking about! Why, there are some days when I can go outside WITHOUT A COAT! I mean, I often regret it and shiver a bit, but truly, we are blessed with such warmth!
