Goodness me! I’m not even going to try and get a rose - I struggle to read one maybe 2 books a week and Dale and Winter are claiming 5 or 6 + A DAY!
Is there a cap on roses or the slow readers just have to suck it up?

Sally, Don't give up on the roses.
I have been fortunate this week, I am currently on holiday and have a lot of time to spare. Must admit I am not doing much else (house is a disaster zone). Though Winter takes the prize as fastest Reader not even sure what number she is on now.
Next week it is back to work and reading at night only. Been very fortunate that i had these books in my book collection.
LOL - I’m just being jealous - used to gobble up 5/6 books a week - but now I’m retired just don’t get the time to read. I thought I’d have more time! The only reason you clean your house is to make room for more books - I’m sure that is a bookworm rule - lol.

Keep reading! When faced with this type of situation, I try to just look at it as a challenge for myself - pushing myself rather than competing with others! I can't read that fast - and I'm not sure I'd want to! Reading is for enjoyment and challenges are for fun, so read what you want and enjoy yourself. 😊
And know that we are listening and there may be adjustments in the next round. 🤷🏻♀️

Part of the fun of challenges is finding books to fit the tasks - seeing what I have committed to year long challenges first, then my TBR pile, then the library. I only read what I enjoy 😉

Sally, please don't give up. I only read 2-3 books a week & this week I managed only 1. I just got lucky that fit for a rose. I even needed Hazel help to get it to post. As long as you complete 1 book a week that is all that is required!!! I'm not in it to win it. I'm in it to make friends,. Like MKat said, this is for enjoyment. Also like you, for me the challenge is to try to find a book that fits that I want to read or am already committed to read. Just have fun don't worry about what everybody else is doing.
