10 Scientifically Impossible Places That Actually Exist

Interesting David. Thanks for posting.
I found those Hessdalen lights especially fascinating.
And I've seen those lightning storms in Sth America previously... Some poor local guy had been struck by lightning 37 times and was too fearful to step outdoors! (I use past tense as not sure he still alive... If he is he should buy a lottery ticket)...

Quite right Ian. One or two of the so-called scientifically impossible wonders in the above post aren't so strange... Like the boiling hot stream in the Amazon jungle for example.
Here in God's Own (NZ) we have streams (e.g. Kerosene Creek) and lake edges (e.g. Lakes Taupo and Tarawera) where hot water rises from underground vents heating the water so it's hot enough to bathe - or too hot to bathe in some places. I understand Iceland and other countries have similar phenomena.
I recall once bathing beneath a deliciously hot waterfall in Kerosene Creek (central North Island, NZ) at midnight with my wife (then wife-to-be) many moons ago... But that's a whole other story...
