Anna Erishkigal (annaerishkigal) Greetings Space Opera Fans!

Ghost Planet by author Sharon Lynn Fisher is our READER PICK for September.

Ghost Planet by Sharon Lynn Fisher Sharon Lynn Fisher

"Psychologist Elizabeth Cole prepared for the worst when she accepted a job on a newly discovered world--a world where every colonist is tethered to an alien who manifests in the form of a dead loved one. But she never expected she'd struggle with the requirement to shun these "ghosts." She never expected to be so attracted to the charming Irishman assigned as her supervisor. And she certainly never expected to discover she died in a transport crash en route to the planet.

Reincarnated as a ghost, Elizabeth is symbiotically linked to her supervisor, Murphy--creator of the Ghost Protocol, which forbids him to acknowledge or interact with her. Confused and alone--oppressed by her ghost status and tormented by forbidden love--Elizabeth works to unlock the secrets of her own existence.

But her quest for answers lands her in a tug-of-war between powerful interests, and she soon finds herself a pawn in the struggle for control of the planet...a struggle that could separate her forever from the man that she loves..."

Sarah It's available in the U.S. on Kindle and Nook. I'm using my local library. I hope you get it. I'm looking forward to this one.

What kind of e-reader do you have John? Kindle? I see it's not available in Amazon Australia (???).

It's on KOBO for $7.99 and it does NOT have DRM, so you'll be able to convert it to a .mobi and then side-load it if you download the FREE Calibre ebook management software. I suggest you download Calibre first and practice converting another document first before you BUY the one from KOBO, though. It's always good to know how to side-load your books so you're not at a distribution platform's mercy.

KOBO: http://store.kobobooks.com/en-US/eboo...

Here's the link to my 'how to sideload' page with the link to Calibre, and then the 'how to sideload' tutorials.

Hope this helps!

Anna Erishkigal (annaerishkigal) Urf! Agree with you John ... it's foolish what some publishers do :-P I checked Smashwords and it's not on there. Maybe the author will get word she's got a BOTM and PM you with a solution?

Sharon Fisher (sharonlynnfisher) | 2 comments Hi there - I wanted to provide some info for those having trouble obtaining the e-book. But first of all, I'm really honored SOF chose GHOST PLANET as one of the reads for September.

Regarding the e-book version: Digital rights outside the US, Canada, and a few European countries, are sold separately. At this time, my literary agency has been unable to sell e-book residual rights, so availability is limited. I do hope we will be able to sell those rights in the near future! Meantime, I know it probably doesn't help much, but Book Depository does offer worldwide free shipping on the print version.

Thanks again,
Sharon

Very welcome! Thank you guys!

Sarah I just started reading this rosary and I'm really enjoying it. It's a lot of fun and really creative.

Sarah Wow. I wonder what "rosary" was supposed to be. Autocorrect strikes again.

I finished the story. I enjoyed it, but the romance was way too much for me. I've read worse, but romance is just not my thing. Otherwise the story was very entertaining. I really enjoyed the idea of the symbiotic relationship between the aliens and the humans. The struggle to work for detachment was very well described.

One more quibble. I would really have loved to know more about what the aliens really were and why they needed this relationship.

Overall this was fun but a little bit fluffy. Entertaining, but not thought provoking.

Anna Erishkigal (annaerishkigal) 'Rosary?' Yeah ... darn autocorrect!

Yes, I live in New Zealand and sometimes experience similar issues. The Book Depository is great, and I can usually get books delivered for free from England to my door down here in NZ in around 10 days, and nearly always considerably CHEAPER than the price at my local bookstores.
