SOLVED. Sci-Fi YA novel possibly set on the moon and involving space shuttles. [s]

I believe the book started on Earth. The main character has some sort of trauma that he has to go see a psychiatrist about. I think the psychiatrist was an AI and not very helpful.

All cars are self-driving.

The main character's mother was involved in a high-profile spacecraft accident (I think it was a space shuttle). At the end he finds out that (view spoiler)[he was in the spacecraft during the accident and managed to survive (hide spoiler)].

I think the latter part of the book was set on the moon. That's all I can remember.

Hmm. Gateway Gateway has a AI psychiatrist with a character distraught about a spaceship problem, but it doesn't happen on the moon.

I think I read it around 2008-2010, and I believe it was relatively new.
