Arvin (5nefarious) | 4 comments I believe the book started on Earth. The main character has some sort of trauma that he has to go see a psychiatrist about. I think the psychiatrist was an AI and not very helpful.

All cars are self-driving.

The main character's mother was involved in a high-profile spacecraft accident (I think it was a space shuttle). At the end he finds out that (view spoiler).

I think the latter part of the book was set on the moon. That's all I can remember.

I don't think that's the one.
