Rob | 15 comments 107k word Suspense / Humor / Fantasy

Please let me know if you are interested in helping! Thank You !

It starts in the late 1950’s, in The Grand Canyon. Shane Bohannon is a young river guide who is tabbed to lead a professor of Egyptology, and his family, on an adventurous tour through the natural wonder. For Shane and the Huff’s it is the first meeting of relations that will last a lifetime. But from the start, things are not what they seem.
Following his mentor's trail, and an actual article published by The Phoenix Gazette in April, 1909, Dr. Huff wants to use the guided tour as a cover to unearth links between the first Natives of the southwest and ancient Egyptians. After some harrowing and heart-warming encounters in the belly of The Canyon, Huff and Shane join forces with Stabb, a park ranger of Kaibab National Forest. A native Hopi, Stabb offers a unique insight of tribal prophecies that will help expose those links, and much more. On their quest to unshackle the truth, they are tasked to save humanity from an imminent cataclysm. Not only will the success of their quest require immense physical exertion and skill, it will demand self-atonement through reflection and accountability by all involved.
From the lobby of Bohannon Canyon Tours in 1958 to the construction of The Pyramids of Giza in 2500 BCE, all the feels are felt. The hilarious interactions between the odd couple of Stabb and Dr. Huff, to Shane’s recollection of trauma he experienced in his youth, and the non-stop action of their newly discovered life’s purpose, all make for a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Ancient technologies and existential philosophies intertwine to lead them on a journey that examines the perpetuity of the idea, coming of age.
