Review: I've been following the Aloha Lagoon cozy mystery series from the first. This was a good addition to that series. It was a quick, easy read, set against the backdrop of the lovely island of Kauai. If I had any complaints it would be the tendency to be repetitous. Otherwise well done!

Review: Very good book. This is a History book but
reads like a novel. Learned a lot about the
leadership involved in America's fight for
Independence and its founding. I will
definitely read more history thanks to
this tome. Very interesting read with a fast
tempo. Brought events from our nations
past to life.

Review: Super cute and fun romantic comedy with a cranky food writer, a hitman, the mob and a dog. Agnes is trying to keep it together to manage a wedding which will allow her to keep her dream house when the dognappers start appearing and then the hitman requiring her to add solve the murder mystery case to her to do list along with bake wedding cake. I definitely recommend if you don't mind a few steamy pages mixed in.

I always loved Crusie "back in the day". She could really make me laugh. I added this one to my formidable WL now...could be I've read it and forgotten (very possible these days!) or I just somehow missed it.

Review: Hanna, Nick, Kady, and Ezra barely survived the BeiTech attacks and now find themselves on the container ship, Mai, with the rest of the survivors. Since the jump station was destroyed, their only option is to return to Kerenza. But they have no idea what they’re going to find 7 months after the initial attack. Kady’s cousin, Asha, survived and joined the resistance on Kerenza. This was such a great ending to the series and I’m sort of sad to see it end.

REview: This book was okay for me. Will Franconi and some other friends started a group called The Mavericks. Since this was the first book in the series, I thought there would have been more of an explanation on what the group was - there was a little discussion, but I'm still wondering... Anyways, Will is a billionaire who runs an import business. He has an impressive car collection that had been featured on a TV show, and receives a letter from a young man wanting to see his cars. The letter touches Will, and he invites Jeremy Newman to visit. It turns out Jeremy is accompanied by his sister, Harper, because he suffers from a brain injury and is developmentally disabled. Will feels an immediate attraction to Harper (you know - hands meet and they feel tingles.) Harper took over the care of her brother when her parents died and she never lets herself relax. But something about Will wants her to take a chance and let go, even for a little bit. It was pretty apparent where this story was going - Harper is afraid if she does anything for herself something will happen to Jeremy. The other thing that I didn't like was Will's "I'm Not Worthy" complex because of stuff that happened when he was young. There were brief glimpses of the other Maverick's who'll have their own upcoming stories

I just read Brimstone and probably should have waited longer to read this installment. Then again, there's so many characters in the Pendergast world that it was easier to keep track of several this time having read the previous book recently. Dance brought even more of the previous characters out of the woodwork and I had trouble remembering who was who and from what book-except for those in the one I had just read. I feel like these books could be much shorter. I also kind of missed the "monster of the week" that the previous books had and I know that this series in now heading into there being the same bad guy for an extended period.

Read for the next shelf, this game could end any week now which seems unbelievable.

Group 13 needs Location Not US but also to finish last stamp.
Group 14 needs Dystopian and finish one more stamp.

Those are the closest that I see.

REVIEW: Rarely read Christian Fiction but after this book I hope to read more. Good story about a potluck and prayer group. Multiple point of view and humor sprinkled throughout made it enjoyable. This book has a quick tempo wich I liked also. Story is set in a small town where some are very guarded about their privacy while others seem to be hoping for a juicy tidbit of gossip. Some of their struggles and conflicts were very relatable. How they deal with loss and grief for instance. Overall it was a great read and has a lot of recipes. Hope to try at least one.

I might have to change it if its not good.
Can't find it on a list anywhere but I know its was adapted into a series because I have watched some episodes.
