If you find an uncombined edition during your planning, please ask for it to be combined in the RwS Librarian Thread or GoodReads Librarian Group. If you choose a book close to either end of any grouping, please lock it in using this thread.
Yes, did we miss getting that included? A 100-point finisher bonus will be your reward for reading 10 books.

Can I go ahead and lock in these books? They really aren’t on the ends but two are very popular and one just won the Pulitzer and they could possibly shoot up in the ratings. The Overstory at 12,341 ratings
Where the Crawdads Sing at 187,727 ratings
The Perfect Horse: the Daring U.S. Mission to Rescue the Priceless Stallions Kidnapped by the Nazis at 4,068 ratings

Noted. There have been glowing comments at my face to face book club about the Crawdads book.
The Housekeeper and the Professor has 24,467 ratings, just in case. It might not get to 25k by the time I read it, but I'd rather have it here than for the No I task.
The Housekeeper and the Professor is a delightful book. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, Elizabeth.
I also have a copy of The Housekeeper and the Professor that I bought in January. I just have not gotten to it yet. It does look very nice. I was going to use it for Japan in our AbC Challenge but did not have time to Megafinish.
This book is moving 'up' faster than I anticipated, so please lock in:Strangers on a Train presently at: 14,659 ratings

Got it!
am i correct in thinking the task numbers are assigned as follows:15.1: 250,000 or more ratings
15.2: 100,000 - 249,999
15.3: 75,000 - 99,999
15.4: 25,000 - 74,999
15.5: 15,000 - 24,999
15.6: 10,000 - 14,999
15.7: 5,000 - 9,999
15.8: 1,000 - 4,999
15.9: 250 - 999
15.10: fewer than 250 ratings

You can read your choices in any order and post the ranges with your claim. You then get the higher scoring tasks as you reach the end of the sub-challenge.
OH!! okay -- thank you for clarifying that for me, elizabeth. i don't know why my brain was so muddled putting the pieces together on the scoring for this sub-challenge. :)
So am I correct to post The Last List of Miss Judith Kratt for the Ratings Game - for 15 pts for under 250 ratings? (It has 107 as of June 9, 2019) ? And these are books that can't be used in the Summer Challenge is that right?

If you haven't yet posted anything for the sub-challenge (that's what we call the tasks numbered 15.x), then yes, you would post that at 15.1. Yes, it qualifies for the under 250 ratings category. You are correct that if you choose to post it for one of the 15-tasks, then you can't also post it for one of the 10- or 20-point tasks.
I'd like to "lock in" Benjamin Franklin: An American Life. Right now it's at 97,472, but last week it was 96,999 and I was hoping to use it for the 75,000 - 99,999 task. Thanks!

Megan wrote: "Could I lock in The Girl Who Smiled Beads: A Story of War and What Comes After, currently at 9,878?"Yes!
I would like to reserve A Woman of No Importance: The Untold Story of the American Spy Who Helped Win World War II by Sonia Purnell at 960. It is recent and has gotten a number of good reviews so I expect that number to climb over the summer.

Could I lock in Finding Dorothy? It now has 4987 ratings. It's moving up quickly with the anniversary of the Wizard of Oz movie. Thank you.

Jayme(the ghost reader) wrote: "I like to lock in A Man Called Ove at 436, 853 ratings as of today."Yes, definitely more than 250,000!
Jayme(the ghost reader) wrote: "I like to lock in Anna Dressed in Blood at 87,732 ratings on 07/10/19"Got it!
I would like to lock in A Room of One's Own by Virginia Woolf. The current ratings are 94,539, for the category 75,000 - 99,999.

Looks good.
I'm reading Wind/Pinball: Two Novels (The Rat #1-2) with 15,921 ratings... My question is since it's a 2 novels in 1, can I use it for the "15,000 - 24,999"?Each book on its own only has 1,180 and 597 ratings respectively.

As long as you intend to read that volume, yes you can claim it for its own range.
I am considering Tyrant: Shakespeare on Politics but it's already at 995 and also The Distancers: An American Memoir which is at 215 so want to lock them in, just in case!
Anika wrote: "I am considering Tyrant: Shakespeare on Politics but it's already at 995 and also The Distancers: An American Memoir which is at 215 so want to lock them in, just in..."So noted!
Fallen Too Far (Rosemary Beach #1) by Abbi Glines has 'Young Adult' on the GR book page. Unfortunately, this book is not on BPL at all. The rest of the series appear to be on BPL (and are designated only as FIC) but for some reason not this very first book of the series!?!So, the question is can I use this book for RG?
