Fair enough, if you have that sense of things E.M. I don't share the opinion though. I thought both before making the review and once I had seen your comments, I asked if I was sending out mixed messages. Anyone who wants to review on the site has been lumped with the star rating system which is too imprecise amongst other flaws. Personally, I'd prefer only the written account. If something is worth telling the world then a few lines is a fair enough ask. The star system is a short hand that I don't think works on the whole. I thought by giving a numerical rating as well I was fleshing out my sense of the work. The star being closer to my personal feeling of the work, the numerical an attempt at something objective and a statement of the writer's abilities, in my eyes.

I will let my mind settle for a bit on the issue, before coming back and reviewing the reviewing process ;)
