Corinne, no worries. I've gotten spanked a few times over bad cover changes. My favorite trick: search google images by the ASIN. You'll often find previous covers still cached on Amazon. A search on google images for asin B00N7QDEUM still shows the old cover, complete with 'look inside' amazon frame:https://www.google.com/search?q=B00N7...

I tried deleting it myself as the edition had only 1 review / 2 ratings, but apparently that's still too many. I thought the limit was 5?
229 One is the Kindle edition and the other the general ebook edition, so no duplicates. I combined them.

There are two books listed on my author's page which do not exist. How can I delete the two titles?
re 238, that is the only book associated with a claimed GR profile. i'm hesitant to delete it. can you provide a link to an announcement from the author that said book is not being published?

They do not exist. I was negotiating to write books on these topics with my original publisher Altitude when they got into financial difficulties. As a result, I wrote books on these topics for new publishers. One is A People on the Move: the Metis of the Western Plains published by Heritage House. The other is Tecumseh: Diplomat & Warrior in the War of 1821 published by James Lorimer.

re 244/246: the first one you linked to was a duplicate, which i merged. the second one, however, was NOT a duplicate, it had a valid ISBN. moreover, while fixing these, i noticed a few problems:1) an automated database update had replaced the covers on a few editions of your book inappropriately, and i had to revert several of these changes. FYI, Goodreads keeps all published covers because users like to shelve the edition that matches the one they own. Instead, we create alternate cover editions (ACEs), and you as the author have the ability to set the default to whichever cover/edition you'd like. I made an ACE with your new cover for the ebook, paperback, and kindle editions (see all your editions here). To set any of these as the default, follow the instructions here. Please be aware that you'll need to be logged in under the primary author account (Mat McLeod) to set the default edition.
2) because your book was first published under the name Mat McLeod, ALL editions of your book have to retain this name as PRIMARY. i reverted several changes you made against policy. i'll also point out that the changes you made were sending your book to the wrong James Lewis profile anyway; your profile is James-two space-Lewis, to disambiguate it from other identically named authors.
3) the 'more photos' section is explicitly NOT for alternate cover images. i have removed the cover photo from that section.
248 That are different covers, so no merge. I combined them.
250 Profiles merged, but the book is a valid edition, not a duplicate.

Paul, the problem is that I updated the book before I´d finished to fill all the fields... I couldn´t insert the picture of the cover and the worse is that the ibsn appears as the name of the book!

I already changed the title from the ISBN

I shouldn't of doubted you Z-squared. Sorry. I thought it was maybe human error when I saw the amazon image didn't match. Lack of experience on my part. I didn't realize they could change the image on amazon.com
