FirstToRead.com offered ARCs for Penguin Random House. It's says it's closing in July 2019. Does anyone know if anything will replace this? For some reason Berkeley only gives me ARCs through firsttoread but never netgalley.

At least I couldn't find a way to get ARCs...I was just there looking around. 😊
yeah it seems like you get rewards for buying books from them or something? i'm guessing something like 'buy ten books get one free!', which i'm so not interested in. i've only ever gotten two books from firsttoread so i guess i didn't use it that much, but still sad to see it go. luckily most of penguin's books are pretty popular so even if i can't get ARCs they are usually at the library.
I tried it once but I didn’t have any good way of reading the book since it was like PDF format. No great loss here, but I’m sorry for other people who used it.
I didn't like First To Read because the only book format available was PDF, which I don't like. The couple of books that I got through the program, I struggled to read for this reason. Like Marilyn, I also get my Penguin titles from Edelweiss. So I am not too sad to see this program go!
