James Jordan (speedoflifeauthor) | 3 comments Would you be so kind as to help me with how information about my book appears on Goodreads and about what appears on my Goodreads author's page.
Goodreads identifies my novel as "crime" "fiction" and "graphic novels."
THE SPEED OF LIFE is not a graphic novel. It is literary fiction. Can you fix this for me?
I would like to remove Ask the Author or ask questions of the author. This takes up real estate on my page and it hasn't been useful.
Thank you. James Victor Jordan

Renske | 12222 comments The genres come from how people have shelved your books, so we can't change that.

lethe | 16359 comments Librarians cannot help with genre denominations. They are chosen by users. That said, I don't know where you see it identified as a "graphic novel". It is not in the shelves added by users: https://www.goodreads.com/work/shelve...

If it is in a Goodreads newsletter, you will need to contact support (at) goodreads (dot) com. Support should also be able to help you with removing the Ask the Author and Questions sections. This is also something librarians cannot help with.

You can find your bookshelves on your author page: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...

Emily | 17605 comments According to your Read shelf, you shelved The Speed of Life in January. It looks like you turned off your author questions. The genres in your profile under your name may refer to your user account or something else, I'm not sure.

Regardless, those aren't issues that the librarians' group can help with. You should probably check the Help section or if you need more help, use the Contact Us link and staff can check your account. https://www.goodreads.com/about/conta...

Ah yes, I hadn't seen those. James, you should be able to delete those genres if you don't agree with them. But you probably added them yourself?

And agreed with Emily, these are not questions for the Librarians Group.
