Oh, that was a great ruse! Those are signs that she’s learning to be part of the team versus a victim.

I enjoyed this so much more than the beginning of The Mortal Instruments. It didn’t hurt that the narrator of the audiobook was exceptionally good. Plus, the story was so much stronger and the dialogue was better. Really good story.
