You said it's the second book in a series? What is the first book about?
This sounds like something a lot of people would like to read. I'm assuming it's been released by now. Are you still looking for it?

it was about this girl whos a scientist maybe? she researches something maybe bears? well last minute she has to go in the field and do hands on research which she never does! the one guy maybe another scientist? cant make it. it begins wheres she on a helicopter and with her team of people. there destination is this mountain remote small town? and this big grizzly adams type guy notices her and thinks shes dumb for coming something like that? then all i remember is him getting grocerys and seeing her again? and the whole team is staying at his cabin maybe? but he has keys to let them in! thats all i can remember
