Love, Rosie is another one that's quite similar to this book!!
I liked Normal People very much but found it odd that the author didn't at all tell us why Denise was so cruel to her daughter. What was all of that about? I found that to be a hole in the novel. The animosity of Denise towards Marianne and of Alan towards Marianne had no explanation whatsoever.
