October 2014 Warriors Group Read Nominations

It's time to nominate a book for the October Warriors Group Read!


Considerations:

1. All nominations must be added using the 'add book/author' function above the text box (where you post comments or replies) with an official link to the book on Goodreads. If the book is not nominated with a Goodreads link, it will not be added to the poll.

2. Books from past group reads are not eligible for renomination. You can find a list of past reads here:

3. Books should be readily available, in other words, can be bought new in print or in the ebook format.

4. Books must either be the first in an ongoing series or able to be read as a standalone despite being part of a series.

The poll will go up on September 5th.

I'll nominate Way of the Wolf by E.E. Knight. It is the first of the "Vampire Earth" series. They're not Stoker or Meyer's vampires, though. The series is post apocalyptic; the Kurians moved in & wrecked our civilization. The series follows David Valentine, a soldier fighting to take our world back.

I've read Way of the Wolf. Good book. I need to continue that series.

Oh, I have this one on my kindle...been wanting to read it for a while. So many good nominations...it will be difficult to decide.

I like the Marc Cameron books and nominate Time of Attack, first in the series.

This might veer a bit into historical fiction, but the action scenes are remarkable...I nominate Gates of Fire, by Steven Pressfield.
