I agree that this is an especially welcoming group!
Hail fellow editor, well met!
What a nice introduction!
Welcome to the group, John.

Welcome to the group, John.
Welcome! I am a huge fan of Psych, minus the final season. It took every crime trope there is and skewered them in a funny way.
You're going to enjoy it here. Dive in, join the chatter, and you'll meet some of the nicest people online.

Devi,
I've just sent you a message re your post. It seems to be in pretty much every reader thread we have, and it is inappropriately placed. If you wouldn't mind, you should promote your blog in our In the Press, Blogs and Websites folder, not in reader threads. Please delete all of these posts and limit them to the appropriate one. Thanks!

While my main interest is in fantasy and science fiction, I also have a great love for classic mystery novels and occasionally find newer ones that I enjoy. I'm a huge Sherlock Holmes fan and have read each story many times. I also like some of the Holmes TV shows and have all of the Jeremy Brett versions as well as a set my wife gave me for my birthday with all of Ron Howard's TV show and several movies and audio CDs of the radio show in it. I also like some of Agatha Christie's work, especially Poirot.
Some of the more recent books and shows are also good such as Murder She Wrote, Monk and Psych. I simply loved the Monk TV show and have read a few of the novels they are so funny while still being very clever mysteries. Psych is also funny but in a different way. More goofy than melancholy but still good.
I've also had the pleasure to make the acquaintance of a mystery writer who is on the way up. He even asked me to edit two of his books that are now on Amazon. You may not have heard of him yet, but I think he has the makings of a great writer and I think you'd like his books.
Sometimes, I think that I'd like to write a book and have tons of ideas for them but have yet to commit myself to actually writing one of them out. Editing my friend's books has me even more bitten by the bug than I used to be and maybe I'll have a book or two out there some day.
I look forward to meeting you in this group.
