ABANDONED. Children's book about Mutated Animals -- possibly mutated with food/other animals?

I remember reading this book ALL the time as a kid. Each page would be about a different animal, there was like an ostrich and a cheetah and maybe a boar or something, and they were weirdly mutated or something-- maybe with each other? (i.e. a ostrich crossed with a cheetah) or with food possibly. I would've read it in 2005/2006. It was illustrated kinda like Maurice Sendak books (Where the Wild Things Are) but I'm pretty sure it's not him.... is this a real book? Did I make this up?
