“Don’t believe in stereotypes” is an example of a theme in The Outsiders. One example of this can be seen in the character Cherry Valence. She is a Soc, and most of them are anti-greaser. Cherry sees people for who they are and doesn’t put them into categories according to what they have or where they live.
