I read a book between 2002-2005 about a girl who was playing with her friends in their attic. Suddenly the girl named Nellie/Nelly says she has a headache and goes to the bathroom to get some aspirin when she collapses. They find out that she had an aneurysm or a stroke. I can't remember which. The rest of the book was about the first girl dealing with what happened to her friend.
