I read only a part of this book in middle school when it had first come out I remember. Might have been part of a series.

-Book came out around 2009-2013.
-It has a red cover with black letters i believe or a black cover with red letters, simple cover.
-YA fiction book where mc broke into somewhere early on in the book and gets taken to a group that trained him.
-Might have involved knighthood? but was definitely fiction and in modern times, not in the past. Had some murder in it I believe.

Sorry its so vague I only read part of the book but stopped because a new book in another series came out. Ended up forgetting about it. I scoured the interned with this vague info and came up with zilch. Maybe someone read this around that time as well? Any help would be much appreciated!
