"Em?" I said. "I don't think we were supposed to leave them! I think they're still fighting!"

I didn't answer. I was busy with a beautiful dream that included waffles, bacon, and cupcakes.

Suddenly, I woke up.

I sat bolt upright, and said, "That's not good!"

[Ruby, Just plain Epictastic.]

(Swearing, remember! :) )

"Julane!" I said urgently, "Somebody's hurt! Again! They can't go anywhere! We've got to go back!"

"Yeah! I think I feel it, too!" said Julane nervously.

[Ruby, Just plain Epictastic.]

"Julane, the others-" I said, and stood.

"You're thinking what I'm thinking." she said, and slung herself onto my panther-y back, and we galloped off in what I hoped was the direction of the clearing.

"It's just as bad the second time..." I moan, but hang on for dear life. Literally.

"Oooh!" Em growls. That can't be good. "A ledge! Hang on tight!"

We are flying through the air, and we land hard on the ground. "Dont. Ever. Do that. Again." I scream in her ears. She gives my a cat-like grin.

Then I feel a jolt, and Em buckles beneath me. I fall off, and feel my self rolling down jagged stones, Em tumbling down too. She lets out a shriek of pain, and I wince as my wounded side gets caught on a rock. Finally the slope levels, and a second after my body slams to a stop, my head jolts down. I hit my head on a rock, and I am suffocating in the darkness. I hear Em moan, and go silent, and I do too.

Without warning, my yellow eyes snap open, and glare up at the strange human leaning over me. She looked slightly surprised, but not entirely. She was odd, but looked fierce.

Then, my limbs snap into action. I jump up, and in a flash, I'm speeding down the hill, away from the human. I can't think of anything. Just, "Human...not human..."

All I wanted was to get away from that strange human - I couldn't get captured by her, I'd get shot and hung up on a wall, my rippling pelt glinting against the wood cabin. No, no.

I feel something moving beside me, saying something about "human, not human" or something. My head throbs, and I can't move. "Em... wh-what happened?"

(Okkkkkaaaay dokie, you missed out since comment 1148??? You sure???? So you didn't hear about Aura dying, then Salifia going into the Underworld (really quick) getting her back again, bunch of side, sentimental chatter, then Aura and Carla going off without anybody knowing and going to find a mermaids' comb, a red rose....yada yada yada? Or that then I had come along, but then decided to run back to the hotel and tell the others, then get a feeling that one of them was hurt (again, and yes, they were XD) and we all jogged back, and got reunited (Carla and Aura had gotten captured by a witch briefly) and then set up camp at the clearing in the forest, woke up after a long night's sleep, had breakfast, but then Aura brought some Hunters back to the camp (accidentally, they were chasing her and Hunters= Bad guys) and we all had to fight or run, (Julane and I ran with her on my back and me as a panther) but then finally I felt something was wrong, and we went back (where everyone was still alive, but Salifia was hurt and couldn't walk anywhere) but before we could get there, I stumbled, and Julane and I flew down a ravine, onto the rocks below, and nearly died. But we didn't. Did ya hear about how I bonked my head a little too hard, and now think I'm a fulltime panther (still in panther form) and ran away from Aura (comment 1654, great scene, great scene)

I growled, deep and long. I was stalking an unsuspecting rabbit when the sound of a human's call scared it away. Stupid humans. Always bumbling around, shouting and screaming and making a scene to scare nearly half the world away.

I lie there, and hear a scream, and a growl that sounds a bit too panther-y. I don't know where I am, (cuz I'm blind, duh) and it's hard to move, but I manage, propping myself into a crawling position. I hear another growl and scream, and I know what's happening. Because the scream sounds like Aura's. And the panther sounds like Em. And suddenly Em is full panther.

I need to get over there and use my animal speaking. I stumble though the forest, getting snagged on branches and tripping.

"Em!" I scream. "Stop!"

I give a roar, and leap in the air - but not at Aura, I bound back into the trees, and disappear from view.

"Aura, stop! Don't kick her, don't make eye contact! Grab a stick and put it between you and her! Get her to bite your arm, not your neck!" I scream.

"Em!" I put all the charm I can into it. "Aura is your friend. I am your friend. Please, please stop!"

I hear her bounding away, growling lightly, and sigh with relief.

I was still trying to find Em, but it would help if I could see. "Em?!" I called. That's when I heard something large and furry hit the ground beside me.

"Em?" I said quietly. I hoped she wasn't going to eat me.

That would be a rather painful way to die. Aura and Carla were far away, I could hear them calling out. Oh no.
