Arielle | 14 comments I'm looking for SF/Fantasy/Epic tales adventure! Anything but mystery and non fiction
Recently I've read The Bone Season, All Souls Trilogy, Red rising, and city of heavenly fire. I read everything from YA to fifty shades so I'm not looking for anything to childish or boring.. I like to be gripped by the first chapter.... And I don't mind a good
Scare... Please help I need something to read at night and in between classes on my breaks and basically all the spare time I have
Thanks

Rovinock | 11 comments You can try Blood Song and Prince of Thorns(even though in this one sometimes the way the characters think is a little childish after my opinion, but it was verry dark, gorish, i loved it), you can try Demon Cycle as well, all fantasy. Oh and Malice is a great book as well, a little slow but it picks up.

Jane | 221 comments Try Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Phillip K. Dick. The movie Blade Runner was based on this.

Betsy (mistymtladi) | 511 comments One that I JUST loved for its' humor and theme was The Supremes at Uncle Earl's All You Can Eat Diner. Not at all what you're looking for but worth it for the laughs and pathos

Jane | 221 comments Betsy - I loved this book. Laughed out loud sometimes!

Robert Davis (robert_davis) | 2977 comments Have you read Ready Player One Ready Player One by Ernest Cline by Ernest Cline? It's a super fun read and full of nostalgia. I loved it, as did many of my friends who have read it.

message 7: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 4 comments Try Poison Study by Maria V Snyder. It's YA I think but has a romantic element. Fantasy novel about a girl who has the choice to be executed for a crime or become the next food taster.

message 8: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine (saanichlori) I suggest Wool Omnibus by Hugh Howey.

message 10: by Karen (new)

Karen (karinlib) For a great Fantasy author read anything by Brandon Sanderson. Mistborn Trilogy Boxed Set is a good place to start.

message 11: by David (new)

David Rose Try C. J. Cherryh's Finisterre couplet: Rider at the Gate and Cloud's Rider. Fantasy style SF, includes some great monsters. Tad Williams' The Dragonbone Chair (Memory, Sorrow & Thorn series book 1) is the first in an excellent classical style epic fantasy. Also look at J.V. Jones for some great darker fantasy. Or, in SF, the epic Honor Harrington series by David Weber, beginning with On Basilisk Station. That should keep you out of mischief for quite a while!
