Hunger is the basic instinct of all living creatures. It is the main driving force, which provokes people to do well or do bad. Hunger has various faces by which it mesmerizes people.
Sometimes, starvation becomes a weapon and hunger becomes an issue. Robin was not competent for this world. He was a handicapped person and he could not stand like a human as Polio had eaten up his two legs. He crawled on the ground like an infant or like a reptile.
The politicians tactfully used his 'quality' in various ways. The ruling party used him for the polio campaigning, and he was used by the opposition parties as the symbol of a lame government. Press, politician and police all started playing a new game issuing the shameful death of a starved man. It was a struggle for their existence. Robin had a spine and he protested against drug trafficking. However, he had to pay for that.
After 20 years, a bestselling author Rudra Sen left London for seven days to meet her ex girl friend Mita in India where he found Portia, divorcee Mita's only daughter. Rudra became surprised, she was identical with young Mita who rejected him two decades ago and married their common friend, Sam. Mita could not protect her from a hunger for the better life as Rudra was not financially fit for her.
Rudra found his lost love in Portia and tried to discover young Mita in her body. He was spell bound. However, he soon started feeling him guilty. Portia encouraged him, 'It was not a perversion, rather, it was a loving journey to the past holding the hands of the present.' Portia was a journalist who left her first job protesting against the nexus between media and politics in Robin Starvation Case. She joined another media and fell in love with the chairperson of that media house who offered her a better post with a great liberty. Portia told him with a challenge in her tone, "We demanded the freedom of press, now; we demand the freedom of journalists."
Finally, Portia's hunger for the better career rejected Rudra for the second time after two decades.
