SOLVED. Con artist impersonates a missing person. [s]

Due to my massive bookshelf I can't find a book in there about a girl (maybe an orphan) who impersonates a missing girl to later be found by her (wealthy?) parents.

I think that the MC is an con artist.

What's the genre or tone - mystery, crime, for older adults or teens (young adults), romantic suspense, humor, etc.?

Time period and location (country, region, big city/small town) of the story?

This sounds a bit like Christmas at Candleshoe by Michael Innes. There was a scam involving a street kid posing as a long-lost granddaughter so her "handlers" could get the inheritance.

There was also a Disney movie.

I haven't read the book. I was going to order it from my library but, I can't seem to remember the title. The book is in my GR shelf but do to the sheer volume of books I'm having trouble finding it.

I was hoping that this group could help me find it either with suggestions or combing through my shelf. 😅

I watch that movie it remined of the Don Bluth movie Anastasia.

Possibly solved. I never read the book and this could be it...Though for some reason I thought that it might have been a YA novel. Could be because the market is so saturated with them. :)
