I generally am a fan of 'end with a big fight scene', not to mention kiaju, but in Shang's case, it didn't feel needed.
The confrontation with his father and them both dealing with stuff was the point and was so well done.

That sounds cool.
Be fun to do that.

Between the Sea devil redesign, it feeling like UNIT is hardly in it and the 'Children of Earth' vibe, my enthusiasm for this project has dropped.

Really?
The era ended five minutes ago?
Are we already desperate to create Who content with the looming hiatus?

Wish me luck, while I now wait patiently for Nick Briggs to recognize my genius and offer to shower me with cash and fame.

Good luck! 😊

Supposed to arrive Tuesday.
Gonna do some grilling then watch some Hartnell.

Was it Council of Geeks? Or another channel? They tend to run fast and hard on those. :o\

I think it was the Council of Geeks
Feels like there were a couple, but that was the one that finally cracked me.
Council of Geeks - I really wanted to like their channel, but they're so opinated in a kinda negative way to the point I gave up on watching them.

I go back and forth with them.
Don't agree with everything and it feels like they are losing steam/ enthusiasm for having the channel, but I enjoy some of their stuff and they were really nice when I met them at a con a couple years back.

Do they shout a lot? I bet they shout a lot. A friend of mine’s wife refers to pop culture podcasters who shout a lot as “loud nerds.” She can’t stand them. It’s like they think shouting adds weight to their opinion or makes their point more valid.

Not generally a shouter.
Occasionally they get worked up, but they're not the typical angry YouTuber

The three leads all do a nice job.
Steven's leaving scene is very well done.
Nothing earth shaking, but it was fun, nice to check another story off my list and the extras are really in-depth and interesting.
CoG is more about the snide than the yelling. Your friend's wife isn't far wrong on a lot of those folks, which is why I don't watch them.

Turns out his wife is also an actor and she played elderly Ruby in '73 Yards'.
So, they both acted in Doctor Who, 60 years apart from each other.

That sound you hear is my willpower cracking...

Cheesy, creepy monster movie and Peter Cushing is one of the good guys...I'm happy.
Fun base under siege feeling film with a likable cast and a creepy vivbe, so you won't question the science or some of the poor choices made by our heroes.
Squint slightly and you can almost convince yourself this is what a Cushing Doctor Who movie, made during the Pertwee era might have been like.

I don't 100% agree with some story choices, but Gunn got the man of steel right and that's all that matters.
Such a good movie.

Mostly I’ve been listening to Big Finish when I get a chance. Really liked the 13 and Yaz’s debut.

Started a great rewatch a couple years ago.
I'm now halfway through #6's era.
Will probably do new Who when I reach that point, but doubt I'll do the spin offs.
K-9 and company maybe.
But, I'd be too sad rewatching Sarah Jane Adventures and Torchwood ain't worth it.

And I have lots of new stuff from Big Finish to entertain me while we await new stuff for the TV.

I know what you mean. The Daleks can be quite headache inducing, particularly on audio. I almost feel like they ramp up the volume just for when Daleks are speaking. And it aggravates any headache I might have at the time.

Sorry to hear about the move.
That does not sound fun.
I will say, my rewatch gave me a new appreciation for Pertwee.
I always thought he was okay, but watching his era in order gave him a boost in my rankings.

Yes, that is annoying. Writers have a bad habit of doing that sort of thing.
Everything about Shang-Chi is gorgeous and I love the relationship Shang and Katy have. And going to Karaoke with Wang at the end? Cherry on top. LOL
