And the worst thing is that I’ve now learned that the new Doctor Who version of Magic the Gathering is 100% compatible with previous versions of the game. So I can’t even just limit it to only the Doctor Who games. I’m soooooo screwed. 🤦🏻♂️

Doom, doom, doom ... The sound echoes up and down the corridors. Is that the Cloister Bell ringing?

This guy's a goner.
Loki season 2: on top of better writer and solid acting, now there's pie! This show gets better by the minute.
Yes. There was pie. But that was NOT authentic Key Lime Pie. That was what usually passes in Hollywood as key lime pie.
ashoka episode 1: Most of the cast is solid, but there's a lot of heavy handed girl boss energy here and it feels like I'm missing something because I'm not into the cartoons.
I just got the latest issue of Vortex, the Big Finish Magazine, with my latest package from the company and I was reading along and was thinking “this sounds like I could have written it … wait a tick!” They printed a fan letter about The Diary of River Song: The Orphan Quartet I’d sent them! 😹😹😹
Travis wrote: "ashoka episode 1: Most of the cast is solid, but there's a lot of heavy handed girl boss energy here and it feels like I'm missing something because I'm not into the cartoons."I heard from a fan of the cartoons, that it does build off those stories. But she was a bit disappointed with the series as a whole.

I don't mind that they are building on cartoon lore, heck there's several ideas there from the novels, but it's the obvious clunkiness that bugs me.

Next time we speak, I’ll do that. 😹

And now it’s even worse. In 2025 they’re releasing a Marvel version of Magic the Gathering. 🤦🏻♂️

Well, that was a cliffhanger...!
Aside from Sylvia, who I'm never gonna like, this season is solid, and such a huge leap from season one in writing and acting.

Cliffhanger!? Cliffhanger?! 🎶 “It’s the end of the world as we know it! It’s the end of the world as we know it! It’s the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine.” 🎶
Ashore episode 2: beautiful looking show.Saves the show from a couple weak members of the cast and some shaky writing,
Curious to see where things are going.
I’ll probably be finishing season five of Cobra Kai today. I still can’t believe how much cheesy fun this series is, and well the writers balance cheesy humor, melodrama, nostalgia, and interesting character arcs.

Course, I say that about roughly 128 shows
If you loved the first Karate Kid film and at least enjoyed the first two sequels, you’ll get a lot of enjoyment out if the series. It’s ALL the same actors from the films, they haven’t recast anyone, now grown up and living very different lives and then everything starts spiraling back into the same petty rivalries and animosities, and then the characters open up and you realize that no one is exactly what they seem to be and even the old films may not have been exactly what they appeared to be. And there’s all the new generation of kids that have gotten pulled into this crazy insanity. It’s campy, cheesy, nostalgic fun. It’s built on the past, but it’s always reaching into the future. I’m always amazed at how much I’m enjoying it.
Late night thought: Capaldi's Doctor was at the university for 50 years.Bill can't be his first/only exceptional student.
And you know the Doctor checked on a couple old companions
There's your box set, Mr Briggs.
Loki episode 5: well, that was disappointingThey've got a lot to do in one episode.
Hope they make the landing.

Where as I found the episode as wonderful and entertaining as the entire series has been. Fascinating characters, the end of the world, all reality, the end of everything at stake - great stuff. 😸

It just felt like every series 3/4 way episode, where we spin our wheels and things look bleak, right before the finale.
and the moebius reveal was a huge letdown.
As always, I enjoyed OB explaining science and Tom hiddleston doing almost anything, but the rest...not so much.
and, shock of shock's, Sylvie was wrong and listening to her nearly got us all killed.
At this point in Loki, if one of those glowy time doors appeared and the Jo Martin Doctor stepped out, would anyone be surprised...?
Loki episode 6: I am man enough to admit when I am wrong.I had cash money in the betting pool that they were going to f@ this up and instead, they made the landing and impressed the hell outta me.
Still don't like Sylvie.
Tenth Planet invades the moonrise: Last of the Cushing Doctor Who novels I bought is unfortunately, the weakest. It's too busy, the cast is too big and it doesn't have the same vibe.
This wouldn't have been doable on a 60's movie budget.
Still, the Cushing Doctor is still fun and charming, movie Susan is the best version of Susan and the Cybermen are suitable creepy and menacing.
Some nice little bits of world building and hints of the future as well.
Finished Ahsoka ( it's an entertaining mess) and one thing that caught my attention is a scene where a big New Republic ship comes to investigate things. It got my brain hooked on the idea of stories about the Star Wars version of the Enterprise: a big ship with a mixed crew, investigating and patrolling.
To be brutally honest, JJ Abrams really ruined any joy or excitement I once had for Star Wars. I just don’t feel it any more. The Last Jedi and Rogue One did a lot to undo the abysmal banality of the two Abrams films, but I just can’t find the same thrill or desire to return to that universe again. At least with the atrocities that he made of those Star Trek films, I can shuffle them off to an alternate time line and thankfully forget about them. Star Wars has just been ruined.

Seriously disliked season one.
Loved season 2.
Such a huge jump in the quality of the writing and one of the best, boldest endings to an MCU project.
and there was pie.
And how is it that Owen Wilson is out acting most of the cast? That scene with him and Hiddleston, in episode 6, where he talks about purpose was staggeringly good.
I want a TVA series.
At times it felt like a stealth pilot for a tv series and then would remember whose name was in the title
Other parts of fandom are as skeptical as me in doubting the anniversary Doctor is really #14.My new favorite theory is that he is the 10th jumped through time and we'll see there actual current Doctor be Jo Martin and she regenerates into Ncuti Gatwa.
Incredibly doubtful, but I'd be so impressed if it happened.
That sounds like some insane incel levels of conspiracy fandom to me. The precedent was set for “revisiting old favorites” in The Day of the Doctor and previously unknown Doctors before Hartnell was established in The Brain of Morbius. 🤷🏻♂️ What’s the problem?
There’s nothing in the way this is written that’s convincing me that this is a new regeneration Plus, I’ll take any excuse to bring back Jo Martin

I'd heard of the game, but have never been a card collector, so I'm safe.
You, on the other hand, are doomed.
Thoughts and prayers man.
