He ended up not killing Ead which is a good thing—though he showed so much hate towards her I thought he would—but upon finding out Truyde was dead he plummeted back down into despair. I felt so bad for him once I realized his hope was coming from wanting to be there for Truyde???

His knowledge had better be right, but first we must see how things with Kalyba turn out *dun dun dun* (hide spoiler)]

I guess he ended up choosing to be a good boy for once but I still don't trust the shit. I'm scared he'll end up doing something stupid especially now that he knows Tryude's dead. nothing will probably happen but the anxiety is killing me.
I wonder what happened to Nayimathun... I hope she has an epic comeback in the next chapter and comes flying in and Tane will be able to fly with her to destroy the Nameless One... *sigh* a girl can dream ^^ (hide spoiler)]

we got such a long chapter from Niclays' perspective and it took me 10 minutes to read cause I just couldn't care less about him -_-
well, I do like the conclusion. poor ead and sabran, cant stay together XD I'm kind of sad cause I still don't really care about what's going on between them, which is typical for me.
honestly, I thought id have much more to say but I really don't... I liked it... it didn't blow me away as I'd hoped but it was still a very good book... (hide spoiler)]

well, it didn't blow me away like most people seem to have been but I still liked it. it had a decent story with some great characters (others not so great -_-) but yeah sure was a fun read and i'm sure glad i decided to pick it up

I really like how the conclusions are hinting towards a more... progressive society? Like Sabran saying that women can be more than just the one who needs to give birth to the child. And Margret pointing out the problem with Loth's and her preferences versus what they are allowed and not allowed to do.

ALSO Ead and Sabran will one day go together to the Milk Lagoon okay??? And, in the end, I do feel something for Niclays.

So overall I'd also say this was very good? It's been a while since I've read anything high fantasy, and though long, in the end this book wasn't too hard to follow and I enjoyed it. I'll probably rate it four stars just because I tend to reserve my five stars for books that give me a really strong emotional connection, but it was well done! (hide spoiler)]

Oh, it's intense for sure. Breaking it into chunks helps. When it starts to be too much I stop and read something physical. I really wish I had the book at hand too so that I could flip through the pages along with the audio. But just the idea of the shipping cost gives me hives.

Chapters 1 - 10 done (view spoiler)[Im enjoying this so far. It took a while to remember all the names but I think I'm getting the hang of it. So far I like kit. I'm really interested by Ead and her reasons for protecting sabran who so far I'm not a fan of. I think it's really honourable of sulyard and truyde to try to form an alliance between east and west when it will likely get them both killed.

I'm nervous about what is going to happen to both Sulyard and Niclays now that they've been found out. I hope Sulyard at least has a shot at convincing the warlord. (hide spoiler)]

I am still not a fan of Sabran. But I love Ead. The history of the damsel /mother was really interesting.

I'm so scared something is going to happen to Loth and kit. I've grown quite attached to them. What happened to yscalin is scary. So does it mean of Loth agrees to deliver the box that he will die of the affliction? God I hope not. (hide spoiler)]

Finished - I wish I could have a companion novel of the time after it all happens. All in all, this book needs a lot of decompressing. So much happened.
