Hey Lori, I'd love if you read an advance copy of my crime thriller NOBODY MOVE. It's not officially out until September, but you can download it for free right now on NetGalley ( https://www.netgalley.com/catalog/boo... ). I'd love if you read it!

"If you can't watch Pulp Fiction or Kill Bill or even the Italian Job or a spaghetti western or two enough times, then this is the crime fiction novel for you. With nods to all the great pulp movies of the last few decades, Nobody Move is a fast-moving, rocking thriller set among the neon lights of Los Angeles. It's filled with goofball hoods, hitmen, losers on the run, strip club princesses, cowboys quoting biblical passages and antsy for vengeance, bags of loot, car chases through the badlands of concrete, gun battles, knife battles, hopeless love, and, of course, the getaway driver who thrills to blast Pantera at high volume as he corners and tears out." —Goodreads top #100 reviewer, DaveonGoodreads

Eddie Vegas made a terrible mistake. Now he has to pay the price.

After a botched debt collection turned double murder, Eddie splits, desperate to avoid his employer, notorious L.A. crime boss Saul Benedict, and his men (and Eddie’s ex-partners), Floyd and Sawyer, as well as the police. Soon he becomes entangled with the clever and beautiful Dakota, a Native American woman fresh in the City of Angels to find her missing friend—someone Eddie might know something about. Meanwhile in Texas, ex-assassin Rufus, seeking vengeance for his murdered brother, takes up his beloved daggers one final time and begins the long drive to L.A. When the bodies begin to mount, Detective Alison Lockley’s hunt for the killers becomes increasingly urgent. As paths cross, confusion ensues, and no one’s entirely sure who’s after who. But one thing is clear: They’re not all getting out of this alive.

As much a love letter to neo-noir cinema and L.A. as it is satire, the first book in the Angel City novels is a lightning-speed crime thriller equal parts Elmore Leonard and Quentin Tarantino.

I.J. Miller | 17 comments My new novel--literary fiction with a thriller element--has just been released.

Here is an overview of the story:

Two moms, Maddie and Al, wake up one cold morning in March in a run-down motel in Weehawken, NJ thinking they have finally found safety after a cross-country escape from their baby’s manipulative biological father. But they soon discover that the state’s top hostage negotiator--and his personal four-man SWAT team--surround their room.

IMMACULATE CONCEPTION takes you to the inner core of two unique women desperate to keep their baby at all costs and provide him with the secure, protected, happy childhood neither of them had. This well-crafted story takes you from the drama of the present, to the tragic scarring of childhood past, to the joyful connection the two make as adults, then back to the present and its emotional closure to this passionate journey of two partners seeking a peaceful life together as a family.

Maddie and Al show us how important it is to protect our children at all costs and how valiantly they’re willing to fight to overcome the deep-rooted effects of early abuse.

I have free copies available for potential reviewers in Mobi, E-Pub, and PDF formats.

IMMACULATE CONCEPTION by I.J. Miller

I look forward to hearing from you.

L.P. Dillon (lpdillon) | 1 comments Hiya, I have an Urban Fantasy book, that I would love a review on please.

Just wondered though, are you ok with mature scenes, because the book has a couple, but you can skip the chapters that they are in, because it doesn't take too much away from the plot.

This book is not for the faint-hearted, it is full of twists and turns, sex, gore, romance, humor and heartbreak. Abandoned By An Alpha is hard hitting, and will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

But be warned, this ride is so addictive, that you will never want to get off, and when it comes to a stop, you'll be begging me for more.

Be prepared for gorgeous supernatural hunks, and one feisty young woman with a mouth like a sailor, and an attitude to match. Join Freya Rose on her epic supernatural journey into womanhood, and watch while her heart tries to decide which mystical guy is its one true love.

Let me know if you're interested :)

Sara Breaker (sbreaker) | 26 comments Hi, what is your blog URL? I write YA fiction and when you've had enough of adrenaline-pumping thrillers and suspense, and want to unwind with a nice, easy, feel-good love story, it would be great if you could read my book and leave a review on Amazon too. It's called "The Perfect Deal" - here is a link https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00SOE... and a short blurb: "Aaron is an established playboy. Elle is a certified geek. A mutual agreement that doesn't go exactly according to plan."

Clyde Davis (clydedavis) | 7 comments Hi Lori,

My novella, Blackwood, has been released on all major online bookstores: https://amzn.to/2GsU8LN... I would be very grateful if you considered this body of work for a review... If you do, I hope you enjoy it. Below is a blurb about Blackwood...

War is over. Darkness has been driven to annihilation. The world balances on the edge of an uneasy peace but fear still lurks the streets of Gotheim. Whispers of foul creatures plague the hinterlands, and in the secret heart of many, an unshakeable suspicion gnaws - an ancient evil readies to unfurl its wings and cast its shadow upon the realm.

Marcus Blackwood, the venerable inquisitor of the Citadel, travels to the small village of Westgrave to investigate the curious case of the cursed Mary Shaw. Accusations of forbidden magic and dark rumours of a lady in the woods are abound.

Accompanied by his apprentice, Blackwood will uncover a threat that reaches far beyond the village of Westgrave. He’ll face a long-forgotten enemy that not even he may be able to stop. The fate of Mary Shaw lies in jeopardy and Blackwood’s duty to the Citadel may force him to sacrifice more than he is willing to part with.

Flo T.B | 2 comments Hi everyone ♥
I have some ARC for my translated first book of my trilogy, will be released Octobre 25th.
It's a young adult romance. Many french readers love this saga (4,8 stars on amazon.fr).

Blurb : Maxine, a 17-year old teen from L.A. who has become a rebellious troublemaker since her mother passed away, gets sent to Texas by her father with the approval of the judge, for her last chance before being imprisoned in a juvenile correction facility.
But nothing goes as planned and a story of mutual assistance between the oldest son in the Baker family begins to bud, as he also has been living as a virtual recluse in his family’s ranch since his accident.
A story that forces both of them to face up to their demons and rediscover who they really are.

Hi Lori, I just self-published a fantasy book called The Child of Silence. Here's the blurb:

You've never met a hero like this before.

Born severely disabled, Aiata dal'Pelferta has spent her life despised by her own people simply for who she is. Worse still, she is the youngest daughter of the Empress, making her an Imperial embarrassment. Unable to talk, move or let anyone know she is a thinking, feeling person, she spends her days observing - and learning - from those around her.

Everything changes when she finally discovers a way to communicate and is plunged into the dangers of the Imperial court. With the magic of Songthrust, Aiata’s people can force others to their will, however they are ill-prepared for a popular revolt within their own borders – a revolt that Aiata is dragged into. Abused by her family and surrounded by danger, Aiata will learn that her intellect – not her magic – is her greatest asset, as she fights to save her home from the ravages of civil war.

Yet while all eyes are on the war at home, a far greater threat looms in the dark of the night sky

But if you'd like to have a read, feel free to DM me and I can send you a copy for free :)

Hannah Sandoval | 7 comments Hi, everybody. Happy to have found this group. As a professional ghostwriter and editor operating under my own business, PurpleInkPen, I’ve worked on over two dozen novels in varying capacities. My own YA fantasy novel, Arcamira, is set for release in March 2020 from the hybrid publisher Cosmic Egg Books. It’s a fantasy-paranormal crossover wherein classic high fantasy species like elves, fairies, and griffins face off with paranormal monsters like vampires and werewolves. It’s made for readers seeking cinematic action sequences and fast-paced plots that are family and friendship driven, not romance reliant. I’d love to swap books with a fellow YA fantasy or paranormal author.
Arcamira Description: When the elf princess, Atalanta, is snatched from her palace and a vampire crashes a ball at the castle, all of Arcamira is on high alert.

To uphold their alliance with the elves and to satisfy their desire for adventure, four young royals set out with a search party to find Atalanta. The small band of warriors quickly find themselves facing down a monster, unlike anything they've ever seen. The vampires and werewolves they believed extinct are rising up under the banner of Tyrannus, a hybrid of two fearsome species forming an army to rid Arcamira of humans and elves...

An act of war. A hybrid king. Adventure awaits, and Arcamira hangs in the balance.

Synopsis:
Dr. Sophie Grimaldi, successful and happy in her career, if not in love, is contentedly single and plans to remain that way. Books have always been her escape and the only place she still allows herself to believe men are decent and true love exists.
Author Jax Rowland is writing the first book of his next spy thriller series, struggling to forge a deeper connection between his protagonist and not-another-Bond-girl to appease the disenchanted female portion of his audience.
When Sophie finds a sheet of Jax’s notes in a library book, she’s appalled by his attempt at writing a love scene and critiques it, never imagining the author will read her review. Ashamed to view his work through a mystery critic’s eyes, he recognizes her talent and hires her to edit the love scenes of his next novel. As they get to know each other through the work, discovering all they share in common, a desire for more than a working relationship, more than friendship grows. But, after a series of missed connections, it seems fate has other plans.
Will they continue to play it safe and single or will they risk another heartbreak for a chance at love?
Note: Book Review is a full-length standalone romance with some adult language. The end of this book is not a cliffhanger but, if you prefer a tidy conclusion, this may not be the book for you. Reader discretion is advised.
