Set in France for most of the book, it is a love story being a "straight" Jewish American Lawyer and A french Violinist. this was great in both romance and the way both flawed characters lifted each other up. the sister Rosie of the lawyer Jason was a great supporting character as was quite a few of the other secondary cast.

What a great read! I was truly hooked! Everything had to wait until I read the entire book. It held my attention throughout the book and I let nothing interrupt me. The book was exciting and believable. There was not one dull area , it was constantly moving with a combination of romance and action. Honestly if Ms Clare's books continue to be this good I don't want to miss a one of them.

This book was a okay read. I like the writing style from the author. The concept is interesting an immortal man and what he does being on run from different organizations. I just had trouble with the main character. Who seem to make very stupid decisions. However you do like him. All in all a good book.

I love this book. It's a series, so we're gradually learning about the characters. Roan is a "virus child" so he was born carrying a disease that causes him to change into a lion once a month. Paris was infected, so he now turns into a tiger once a month. This isn't a typical shifter tale where the shifters easily go back and forth between human and shifted form. Also when they're shifted they're real animals, which means they typically spend the shift locked up somewhere so they don't hurt anyone. There are two "stories" in this first installment. Roan is a former cop acting now as a PI and he's called in on cases which involve the "kitty" world.
Both mysteries were interesting, and not easy to solve. Because this is a series we're gradually learning about the world (really well drawn), and Roan and Paris and their relationship.
The writing isn't perfect, and there are some awkward, run on sentences and repetition, but the stories are great and Roan and Paris are fantastic characters. The dialogue is funny and snarky and the references to 80s and 90s music are awesome! Any book that references Bowie's Putting Out Fires with Gasoline is a huge winner

What a hraet pounging thrilling finish to Jordan's Firelight series. This was one emontional roller coster of a ride which i would i go through again. Sophie does not hold back with all that happens during this book. There were secrets that were reveled loyaties that were tested love found, and other releationships were also testes as well. This story was all that i was hoping it would be and then some.

I really like this one. This one is about after the fall of the government and a young women who knows that there is more then what she sees in her insular community. I love the heroine. She is strong and kicks butt. I also really like the romance in this book. If you like dystopian and romance I would defiantly recommend this one.

This book was as hot as a summer in Las Vegas where this book is set. Shawn Everly, a cop who moved to Las Vegas from Los Angeles, and Trent Marshall, a fireman, have instant burning chemistry even if they do nothing about it because Trent Loved a cop before and is afraid to Love again because of the pain he went when His love died in theline of duty. Shawn must be the most accident prone cop ever it seems that he is always needing to be fixed up or rescue from situations like being rescued from be drown my an overweight drunk that he went in the artifical lake to rescue, or tripping over a tree root getting back to his partner. let just say when they finally get together the romance is blazing hot.

Dean is a Night Stalker called back to the United States to determine where his orphaned niece will live. Anthony is the guidance counselor at the niece’s school. His parents are foster parents and have temporary guardianship of the niece. The story moved along well and the drama seemed legitimate and not over the top. I just didn’t think the dialogue was very realistic and it kept me from fully enjoying the story. It was a bit simplistic and some of the family teasing was a bit over the top. I can’t imagine a mother making the comments that she does to Dean when she first meets him.

I loved this book it did not disspoint. The ( H ) Cat was a product of a rape and by a vampire no less. She started hating vampires so much that she started hunting them of course with her mom's approvol. Bones the ( h ) is not only a vampire but,he is geourgous. Like Cat he also hunts vampires for his own reasons though.Bones and Cat are one of my favorite couples. I love everything about their romance. Cat is fantastic and bones makes it all perfect.

This one was okay. I like the plot it pulled me in from the start. I also like the setting Louisiana. The characters were easy to root for and you want to know what happens to them. It was a fun quick read. A good cozy mystery. I recommend this one to those who like those type of books.

I enjoyed this book from the beginning. The opening scene was a great introduction to the main characters and their relationship to each other, plus a good laugh. Flashpoint moves at a nice pace and held my interest throughout. The only complaint I have - - I didn't feel that I got to "know" Tess and Nash as well as I would have liked. However, the action was great and unpredictable. The secondary characters were also interesting. The fact that this book deals with current world issues was a plus for me. It felt fresh and timely. Suzanne Brockmann fans will not be disappointed.

review: hmm might have to go back and read the others in this series. I didn't feel like going to the Dnf shelf but had no series 4 or seven ready to read so I am sure I am missing some of the nuance of this book. I love the multi cultural ascpect of this and the mystery flowed smoothly but the book brought up characters and situations that I had no background for.
the author wrote well but I felt loss at sea i was considering just because it was my fault to bump it up to 4 stars but for me it was a three star because I hadn't enough grounding in the story to really enjoy it.

I liked the mystery in this better than in previous books, at least it was less confusing. It was also very personal for Cole as he's drawn into dealing with events in his past. I read book #3 not too long ago so that helped for remembering who the characters were. As always, it's a bit of a puzzle at first since there are so many of them! And some of them go by nicknames and their real names....
I did like the further development of Cole and Jae's relationship, I am relieved with each book to find that it's not always a big struggle for them. But I did feel like this book got a bit silly with their togetherness and constant falling all over each other, it just feels a bit too much. People are a bit too jokey and witty maybe. (I did like the reference to Sam & Jory and Aaron and Duncan but it felt forced, that's one example).
So all in all another great addition to the series and nice setup for book 5 Bobby!

Dumped in Oz

The story is fine, Lyle is offered a year long position in Kansas and he's hesitant to take it until his friend makes him realize how stagnant his life is. In Oz he finds Roger, a closeted gay man who has some drama in his past. Lyle and Roger are appealing and the story moves along quickly. But it's like reading a self help book. We are given lessons in self esteem and gay acceptance and alcoholism. The dialogue is a bit stilted and the "bad guys" are really cartoony. So a fine easy read, it just didn't leave much of an impression.

This one was good. It was about a young single mom that meets A young man who is going through struggles of his own. I really was excited to read this just from the summary and it being a curvy heroine. However I think it fell just a little flat. But all in all a fast easy read. Recommended to those who like new adult

My god the madcap zaniness of this book. I went into this book with a little trepidation because I so identified with one of the NC Description. for those who have read it minus the Drag Queen best friend I could be Paul with all his defenses and insecurities. Gay A little overweight Sarcastic but with a heart of gold. I have always been old I am cute and that I deserve the best even though I usually feel so unworthy because to many people have ridiculed me because I am too geeky, too not into playing sports, too fat, too not handsome to be anybody worth being with. 5thqank god I changed but reading these kind of characters can bring al the old insecurities out. my goodness the madcap antics that occurred could have happened to me. how many people have fallen up stairs had a clock fall and brain them, fell and broken an arm on a gas main, not o mention assorted clumsy accidents like having a frisbee hit then between the eyes a fishhook get caught in their pants and poke them every step of the way home. a softball hit them in the nose. all of those thing happen when growing up. but Vincent Taylor is just what Paul Auster needs. someone persistant enough to convince him that yes this is for real and yes he is worth being loved and yes those who know him know that he is better then the rest of them but together. Read this and don't ever feel your too somethingto be unworthy of being loved.

Okay this one started a little slow for me, but once into it I couldn't stop reading about River and Dahlia. I loved how perfect he was for her and how he just knew what she needed. It really picked up towards the end and then BAM it was like a tornado erupted and I was like WTF! I SO DID NOT see that one coming!!
