I loved this book. The story is about Reggie who is the Mallory's neice and Nicholas.
Reggie the herione was really likeable she new what she wanted and didn't stop until she got it.
Nicholas the hero was the typical tourtued soul. He didn't think he was at all loveable. Even though he loved Reggie. He though she would come to hate him. The story revolved aroundd his discorvey that that isn"t true

I don't know why I didn't love it, It had some of my favorite book triggers: Cops, GFY, FTL. It just seemed too formulaic and didn't read like something that could happen in RL. The love scene were good but the plot seemed to be too much the buddy cop fan fiction that has been around forever. I have read other book by the author and was expecting more than what I got. in the end I could get caught up in the story so I could suspend disbelief.

This one was okay. Sort of the standard cozy mystery. I had some troubling getting into this one. Did like that the main character was a school librarian. I also like that she somewhat of a busybody. However I sometimes had a hard time connecting to the main character.

Now this is not your average historical thank god because average historical bore me. Set in Republiican Rome, this book deal with a new owner of a villa and the ludus, gladiator training facility, and the prime gladiator. this takes place a generation or so after Sparatacus and his rebellion. I love the juxtaposition of the gladiator, a Thracian slave, being the dominant over his Roman master. The roman Master is an idealist who also keep his body fit. they fall in love even though the Gladiator Killed the previous owner, uncle of Roman, of the villa/ludus (the roman didn't know that) and that the Roman Uncle had Destroyed the gladiator's village and the gladiator's lover. a strong enemy to lover hybrid. I loved it.

Not my favorite in the Dark Ones series, but not bad. This book takes place in Scotland and one of the lead vampire characters does wear a kilt (in case that is something you are into). Our main character, Sam is a private investigator elf, who is put on the case of finding a lost statue and a book. When Paen, the Scottish kilt wearing vampire, falls for her you know that steam events will happen.

This wasn't the crazy fun of the previous book but there was so much build of the relationsip between Ty and Zane that it was awesome. The mystery was intriguing enough but really the focus was how our two guys are coming to terms with each other and others as well. Of course not all can go perfectly so we have our cliffhanger ending. Fortunately this challenge will eventually get us to book 5s!

I really like this collection of short stories. I really like the author writing style. The first story was about a young girl that does a blood test in bio class that leaves her question about her family. The next story is about a father who reconnects with a women from his past, and his son's wish to connect with her daughter. The next one is a man who works in a grave yard, and his daughter. The following story is about a widow and what happens when she finds out a secret about her new romantic interest comes out. Then there is one about a pet rabbit who is sudden blind and the owner who desperately wants to help her rabbit. The following one is about a lady that worries when her handyman does not show up one day. Their is one about a trucker that is carry live cargo. The last one is about rabbi that helps a couple burry their son.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It was delightful and heartwarming and I loved the touch of magic. I enjoyed the characters and even though parts of the book were a bit predictable, it's such a nice story that it didn't bother me. I couldn't wait to read on, every chance I was free. I liked that the love parts of the story were not in your face and sappy. The characters developed through the book nicely and the ending, I thought, was perfect. I definitely plan to read more books by this author.

This is a really well written book that shows the growth of a relationship between Dan, the self described slutty travel writer and Robin, the moody, rebellious boat dweller from a "posh background". These guys have a lot of baggage to get over but find they enjoy each other's company so much that they're willing to make changes for each other. Really enjoyed this!

I love this book it wasn't strictly a vampire book which is one of the reason I read it for another challenge. but the life bond/blood bond is a staple, I like in this book. what happens when a Werewolf Alpha and A born Vampire Fall in love. Chaos and misunderstandings. I wasn't fond of the homophobia rampant in this book and the sheer hatred. All throughout this book I thought this was a gay paranormal Romeo and Juliet type tragedy/romance. that little stuff was just enough to drop it to a less than 5 star book and this was much better than the other story I read by her this month.

I liked this book a lot set in NYC it is in a series that regards the lives of men who belong to the BDSM Club called Guards of Folsom. this Concern a Dom, Grant Maxwell, better known as Max and his new sub Aiden a fairly fresh from the farm young man from Indiana. This book is concurrent with the second book in the series and we see it from a different perspective in this. I will say I have heard the term Pony Boys/Girls and never understood what it meant. I have to say it is not for me. but that aside the book was very enjoyable.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were strong and developed nicely. They were flawed and damaged, working hard to keep themselves going, and found redemption in each other, in ways that were unexpected. Sometimes situations and backgrounds of characters are over the top and not relatable. But this story connected and made you feel for them, along with them throughout the story. I definitely recommend this book.

I LOVED this one. This book is so good. This is the fifth book in the series but I definitely find it easy to jump in this world. I found the romance very sweet. I loved that the hero is not all alpha male with the heroine, and is very sweet with her as she deals with her past. I also love some of the side characters here. I will definitely read more of this series. Recommended for those who love romance books.

Typically a book or series ends with the HEA. We got that at the end of Book #4 of this series. So now we get to have a look at some of the difficulties of a relationship, particularly one with an undercover cop. Jory is here, married to Sam, but he has to be on his own with Sam away undercover. He's at loose ends but still completely loyal to Sam. Jory at loose ends is a recipe for trouble so of course that's where he finds himself... Thoroughly enjoyable, we get a nice travelogue of a trip to Hawaii and Jory continues to work his magic with friends old and new. While completely improbable in real life, it's fun to live in Sam and Jory's world for a little while!

Not only did i love this book but i love this whole series. I tried reading this book slowly but, i found myself devoring it i couldn't put it down. In this instalement we are introduced to more of everything ( Vampires,Werewolves, and immortals beings ). I knew that Evertide had to pick up from where Everdark left off. I also knew that the adventure has to draw some sort of closure and it did but it has marked the beginning of something totally unexteped and new.
