You can just say all that Jamie said and it would be true for me also. I am usually not a big angst person but angst works for this story. The amnesiac rediscovering love again is touching and frustrating but oh the story is oh so good.

Janet's first book it definitely one of her best romance novels. Those of us who have read them all know they are very similar in the fact that they all involved fast evolving relationships...who falls madly in love in a few days :) But this one has you hooked in the few few pages and is a short read that you just can't put down. Janet's books give mom's/wives like me the escape to a more exciting life that we all dream about. They are kinda far fetched in the men being so romantic, but we all can dream...right ladies!?!?!

You have to love Janet Evanovich! This is the eight book in her long running series of Stephanie plum. This is one is about Stephanie trying to find Seven-year-old Annie Soder and her mother, Evelyn. This book is like all others in this series mostly the same outline different case. However I love her writing it is funny and fun, and so easy to read. I also love her side characters.

Not only did I like the setting but,i liked the high seas adventure as well.
The south sea is really the most romantic and enchanting setting for a novel like this.
I enjoyed the book the mood was some what sad.The story was intreasting there was just enough romance not overdone which I liked.

Book: The Warlord and the Bard

Now as this is classic but not totally high fantasy I liked it alot, now the trading of perception for the narration between to two character was rapid fire and That was my biggest problem with the story otherwise there were some minor spelling and grammar errors but not enough to distract. now some call some of the element non or dubious consent I really don't see it like that as when it happened the Goddess was showing how it would be if she forced the bard to love the Warlord when the bard complained to the goddess. The Sex was power sex and if you do not like it rough I would not read it. but if you like your fantasy with some sex in it you could do worse. If you do not like fantasy I would avoid his book as the fantasy elements are strong. The political situation the Warlord is in as the heir presumptive Crown prince and warlord make for interesting when he decides to flick between his various roles/titles and he has a different person for each one.

Review: Good in Bed starts off with the character reading a article that her ex boyfriend wrote about loving a big girl and what she does with that afterwards. This one was funny. With really relatable characters. definitely will read the next one in the series .

This was my first time reading a book by this author.the book left me speechless I loved it.
It started out slow and then things picked up and I couldn't put it down until the end. There was Action,Adventure,Murder,Mayhem,Kidnappings,Rape,Romance and Compassion. All of this was set against the backdrop of the great Chicago fire.

So this book is probably 80% scenes of the two main characters getting together and getting some action. The story is actually pretty melodramatic and as far as Instalove goes, these guys were committing about 30 seconds after they meet each other... Yet, I still really liked it! I loved Danny and Rack as individuals and together they just seemed to work. So 4+ stars.

I have read a number of Suzanne Brockmann's books, and really enjoyed them. However, I didn't think this book was up to the standard of her previous books. The plot was weak, though there was plenty of action. I thought the secondary characters needed to be more fully developed. I would read future books by Ms. Brockmann, based on other books in the Troubleshooter series. However, this one definitely was not one of my favorites.

This book is a quick, lovely read about two (or three, if you count the Best Friend, which I absolutely do) people finding each other at the turn of the century, when stuff like work email, internet security, and Y2K were the big new things, but newspapers still, well, existed. The plot is cleverly written, the emotional/relationship stuff doesn't ever get heavy or overdone, but it's the characters, oh man, the characters that really get you. They are hilarious, intelligent, awkward, interesting, flawed, and wonderful, each and every one of them. Even Mitch, the husband that we hear a great deal about but never once actually meet in a great character. No kidding, people, this author makes you love a character you never even meet. That's some serious talent.
The writing style is well-done, the plot flows well, and comes to a comfortable (if inevitable) end. This is not a surprising story; you pretty much know how it ends from almost the beginning, and it is a pretty short, quick read. I'd file it under 'light-hearted romantic book'.

This book was good. Nothing earth shattering but a decent read. It is about a women after the lost of her husband goes on a road trip to fulfill her husband’s last wish. She goes with her aunt and a teen who has her own issues. Very much a chick lit but a good one. Just a very sweet read.

Now I have not read a Kaje Harper book that I haven't liked; this is not the exception. There is much to love about this 472 page book. the characters even the secondary character are a force in and off themselves. Mike is extremely shy and geeky; so shy that he couldn't become a medical doctor because he had problems talking to people he didn't know a 37 year old total virgin. Kellen is an author and proofreader/editor. They click in online book group and meet they get together. Kellen still suffering from his Father dying when he was 10 has problem depending on anyone and committing to a relationship. Kellen breaks up with Mike when his mother's dementia gets so bad he has to move in with his mother to take care of her. two month later with the help of two of Kellen's friend Mike track down Kellen and they get back together and Mike helps as able to take care of Kellen's mom. I am strongly attached to both MC for different reason, the shy person was me for most of my life. and I am a caregiver for my partner and had to do that with my mother earlier this year also. so I formed a bond even as I wanted to slap Kellen for breaking up and not being able to ask for needed help.

While there was much that I liked about this book, principally Will, the host of a sex & relationship radio show and Cobalt, the tattoo artist. There is some good dialogue and the MCs scenes together were strong. I liked the world Cobalt had created for himself after being banished from the realm of the fae. He has his friends Nix and Shade and his business. The introduction of Uriskel, the semi threatening Unseelie added an element of uncertainty and danger. Where the book fell flat was in explaining Will's relationship with Lyle and any real story behind Cobalt's banishment. There are more stories in this series so it's possible more is explained there.

I really loved this book it had the right amount of everything in it ( romance, tragedy, and humor ).
I couldn't put it down and yet at some parts I was just not swept away by the story. The story was still very enjoyable. I loved Raphael from the fist time since I read about him in the Heir. At first I did not like Ophe!ia but she grew on me. I would recommend this book to those who love to read romance books

I finished Country Mouse and immediately picked up City Mouse and maybe that's why I didn't like it as much. Owen is still the endearing computer IT guy who takes life as it comes and doesn't demand much. Mal is still super uptight, Type A. Owen is good for Mal, but I'm not sure what Owen is getting out of it. The whole point of the book is to show the 6 weeks following the super romantic end of Book 1 and maybe that was the problem, it was clear these two had to get over the honeymoon period to move on and maybe that's just not that fun to watch....

Great review Roger, I thought that book was so realistic and three dimensional. I know some people complained it was a little slow but I thought it was excellent (can't really find much negative to say about Kaje Harper's writing, ever!)

Holy moly that was intense. I loved this book even though I was in tears many times. Leith is a boxer who has been felled by an illegal hit that has taken 3 years of his life. Zach is re-introduced to him as his best friend. Leith is confused by some of the feelings he has for Zach because when he came out of his coma he self-identified as straight and he remembers former girlfriends. Zach and Leith's rediscovery of each other is at times frustrating, sad, angry, fun but ultimately life and love affirming.
