R4: SSS First Place Readers (1)

See I'm all caught up. I just need to read Reseph book but since I have Reaver as well. I decided to re-read the series before the new book comes out in Dec.

Once again, JAL has written a sparkling, intelligent, original HR. This has slowly become one of my favorite series. There were a very few things that bugged me in this one, but overall I loved it. Phoebe is an unconventional heroine, a feisty schoolteacher who has a love of Ton gossip. Julian, the Marquess appears conventional but quickly reveals himself to be something else as he becomes involved with Phoebe. It is an intriguing storyline and moves along pretty quickly. Great stuff!

Review: It doesn’t look like our favorite police detective/medical examiner team is going to have a very merry Christmas, and not just because Christmas Eve finds them both at the scene of an exceptionally brutal crime. Rizzoli is dealing with some unexpected strife between her parents, and Isles may be walking too fine a line in her friendship with priest Father Brophy. With Satanic, and just plain unidentifiable symbolic messages left at the crime scene, and evidence leading to a psychologist who gets under both ladies’ skins, Rizzoli and Isles find themselves working with a group of international researchers convinced that evil is real and demons live among us. As always, it’s a page-turner filled with enough suspense and plot twists to keep you up late!

I rolled a 2 (ugh) and we are on Spot 66.
Headed back to New Orleans this morning. My new job starts in the morning - Yay!!! I'll check back later with my book.

That one is real good, book 2 you realize you're onto something great and book 3 it becomes an obsession lol.

I'm still deciding - I'll probably read

Wow Dex is a psychopath. It was not a good idea to read this through the middle of the night. I liked it enough to want to read book two. I was confused by Perry being 22 and needing to think of lies to her parents. I'm guess I'm different at 22 I wasn't asking no permission lol. I was scared for a while. I knew something was up with Dex the entire way. He just rubbed the wrong way. I kept saying it was multiple personality disorders but it was bipolar disorder. I didn't like Ada but I could account it to her age

In the next one, there's a scene where the two of them dance together and it'll melt your heart.

I will. I'm not sold on Dex yet as a person or a book boyfriend. Yeah I get what happened as a ten but they aren't treating her like an adult. They gotta let her make mistakes. I can't wait for the sexual tension.

Fucking bad omens lol.

This was ok, not horrible but not great. I'm also coming down off one of the worst book highs I've ever had though. The way it's written is quite believable and the military/weapons were well researched. I didn't connect with the characters like I would of wanted to. Except for Tuck, he was great for a slightly crazy old man. I would want him at my back in the zombie apocalypse. I may read book 2 one day, just not in a super big hurry to do so.

We'll see how it goes!

Review:Pretty solid KA book. It had all the ingredients of her other series, including too much talk about what someone was wearing, what furniture they had in their house, and what car they were driving. But the characters were likeable and sexy and the storyline interesting. If she could just learn to finish a book!!

Edit: *knocks on wood* so I didn't just jinx us :D

Review: Time travel is a tricky business, not just for the characters who have to manoeuver around their past, but also for the writer who has to create a believable time traveling story. I'm very nitpicky about how time travel needs to be handled, but the author did an excellent job with the cyclical nature of time, how the past depends on the actions of the future and vice versa. Like all the other Artemis Fowl books, this one is packed with interesting technologies, action-packed storylines, and a good dose of humor.

Puts us at Spot 71!

Well damn maybe Lore can go in my favorite as well. I really enjoyed this one. I love the world that Ms. Ione builds. In this installment the boy's get to meet there two new siblings plus deal with a pesky person who won't go away. I like Idessa she was a really strong character.
