Heather | 8548 comments This artist was born in Poland. After studying... he began painting portraits, often of people of historical significance. He was the leading painter of the "Young Poland" movement, was extraordinarily sensitive to decorative value of paintings. He later expanded his work to include different techniques, such as graphic art, stained glass, textiles, chalk drawings, etchings and book illustrations. He produced set designs for theatre, and stylized furniture designs.

________________ received international acclaim for his stained glass windows..._________________ explored various media further throughout his career to include a range of applied arts in his projects. He manufactured a multiplicity of book covers, ornaments and posters. ___________ - aside from his versatility in studio art - became known for his frescoes often reminiscent of medieval art.

His earlier art was influenced by Symbolism and Post-Impressionism.

___________________ was appointed associate professor at the chair of decorative and religious painting of the {school}, of which he was a graduate. He was made professor in {year} and was twice the Academy's chancellor.

__________________'s mature art made an original contribution to the development of Symbolist iconography. His paintings, some evoking a lyrical, decadent mood, others brimming with admiration for the sensuous beauty of nature, proved a perfect embodiment of modernist poetics...The rich, resounding, saturated colours used in exquisite combinations, the confident, lithe edges, the perfect outline of forms, the masterly harmony of decorative flatness and of profusion of ornaments, combined with modelling which emphasizes the forms are characteristic of _____________'s allegoric and symbolic works

Which one are you talking about? Many artists did "the Kiss"

Heather | 8548 comments I love The Kiss sculpture by Rodin. That's one of my favorites, but again, sculpture is my favorite medium.

Heather | 8548 comments Eh, I kind of figured you were talking about that one. Not my favorite in the least. I’ve seen lesser known artists make The Kissmore enjoyable to look at.

I can appreciate his work, and I do like many of his other paintings, it’s just that one isn’t on my list of favorites.
