What book would you like for a long-overdue group read this spring? New titles would be especially welcome. (Authors: please do not recommend your own books.)

Sounds great! Do you have an author/link?

Maria Schneider (bearmountainbooks) | 299 comments Yeah, click the underlined title in my comment --that links to the Goodreads page for it. Author is Stuart Jaffe.

Bianca | 1 comments Something by Brandon Sanderson? I’m grieving after ending the Mistborn series and would to read more?

Becky (fibrobabe) | 13 comments I've heard good things about Trail of Lightning by Rebecca Roanhorse. It was published last summer, so it's not *brand*
brand new, but it hasn't been around that long.

message 10: by Becky (new)

Becky (fibrobabe) | 13 comments Southern Bound is free for Kindle right now. I don't know if it's always free or if it's a short-term promo because a new book was released a couple weeks ago.

Mark Henwick | 21 comments The Hum and the Shiver is a really good start to a series which is on the border between Urban Fantasy and Magical Realism.
I'm afraid it's a case of read the first and wait for Tor to lower the prices of the rest.

These are all great suggestions! I should mention that I'll close this thread on Monday, March 18, so that I can open a survey. We'll start the group read on April 1.

Kim (kzippy) | 1 comments The Restorer by Amanda Stevens was a book I recently read and thoroughly enjoyed. About a woman who restores old southern cemeteries. She has to deal with ghosts, solve a mystery about a killer and try not to fall for a guy.

I read that one a couple of years ago.

message 18: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (jessica_peter) I'm actually on the brand new second book now, but would recommend The Voodoo Killings by Kristi Charish.

Anne Bishop also has a newer UF series that's on my to-read wishlist, starting with last year's Lake Silence

I own it and haven't read it yet. Sounds good.
