Two authors with the same name

I've just read a book by Mary McCarthy, an Irish writer (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...), and noted that the author's name is automatically linked to the American author Mary McCarthy, which is of course incorrect as we are talking about two different Mary McCarthys.

I couldn't figure out how to correct this - thanks for pointing me into the right direction.

Goodreads uses spaces between first and last names to distinguish authors with the same name. In this case, the Irish writer is Mary^^McCarthy with ^ representing a space. You only notice the spaces in the author field on the edit page.
I added an extra space, so the book has now been moved to the Irish Mary McCarthy's profile.

While I was at it I gave it a cover and ISBN13 from Amazon.

Similar problem to kissmekate. My book 'Waiting for Amy' has recently been published under my name - Michael Small. Through Goodreads I have discovered that there is another author publishing under the same name, and my book is listed on his author page.
I would like to use my own author page, but the link always goes to the other Michael Small. Can you help me please?

As you do not have a claimed author profile I moved your book to the new 2-space profile (Michael^^Small, where^=space)

Hi folks,

I was checking books by an author I like called Stephen Holt who wrote during 1960s. I found a whole different gentleman has been assigned his books.

The modern Mr Holt says he is a member and writes self help and non fiction, but he hasn't gotten around to getting the original Mr Holt's books taken off his back catalogue.
I hope a new page can be established for the older books to avoid any confusion, or else the modern person can be given a two-spaces name page.
