I haven't even heard of half of these, but I've read all four of the ones I already knew about and really enjoyed them all. I just added all of the others to my TBR (except Resilience, which looks like the 7th book in a series I was already interested in). (Also, the link is for last year's finalists. Here is this year's list: https://www.lambdaliterary.org/31st-a...)
Oh, more for my TBRs. From this list I only know JY Yang whose work left me quite underwhelmed so far.
I was also underwhelmed by the novellas I read by Yang. I enjoyed Witchmark very much, however, and wouldn't be surprised if it won the Lammy.Of the finalists I haven't read, the two that most caught my eye are The Breath of the Sun and Metabolize, if Able.
Thanks for sharing! Useful for my diversity challenge.I've Witchmark scheduled for early June. Let me know here https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... if someone wants to BR it :D
I thought Time Was was going to be nominated.
The Barrow Will Send What it May looks interesting.
In the Vanishers’ Palace was one of my favorite reads last year. I loved the prose, the overall tone, and especially the relationship between the main characters.I've had mixed reactions to JY Yang's work. I enjoyed the earlier books in the series that includes The Descent of Monsters but that one veered too far into horror for my tastes.
I see some other things here that I'm going to have to add to my infinite TRB list.
