Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 93 comments Finished The Sorceress (The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, #3) by Michael Scott and liked it about as much as the first two, which is enough to finish the series, but not enough to get too excited about it. Really recommend it for readers in their tweens-early teens years.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 93 comments Just finished reading Legacy (Legacy #1) by Ellery A. Kane I really liked it. Fun and short, and a fresh take on the dystopian genre. Definitely worth a look.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 93 comments I finished A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness and don't really know what to say other than: Oh. My. God!
Patrick Ness is a wizard.

Up next The Hunt for Dark Infinity (The 13th Reality, #2) by James Dashner (the cover on the book I have from the library is better).

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 93 comments Just finished The Hunt for Dark Infinity (The 13th Reality, #2) by James Dashner Really fun read. Better than the first book. The writing isn't the strongest, but the stories are fun and easy to get into to.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 93 comments I finished The Queen of the Tearling (The Queen of the Tearling, #1) by Erika Johansen last night. Really liked it, but in this particular story that had a lot more to do with plot than character. I will say, I heard Emma Watson is supposed to play the lead character in a movie and I just cannot see that.

Then this morning I read 3 of the 6 Amulet graphic novels Amulet, Vol. 1 The Stonekeeper (Amulet, #1) by Kazu Kibuishi Amulet, Vol. 2 The Stonekeeper's Curse (Amulet, #2) by Kazu Kibuishi Amulet, Vol. 3 The Cloud Searchers (Amulet, #3) by Kazu Kibuishi I don't know how many of you guys read comics/gn's, but this series would technically count as YA and has an awesome female lead many seem to be in search of. Plus it's just so good.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 93 comments I finished Theodosia and the Staff of Osiris (Theodosia Throckmorton, #2) by R.L. LaFevers this morning. Really, really liked it. I debated whether to continue or not after book one. So glad I did. I'll read more in the series before deciding how strongly i recommend the series, but this book was awesome.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 93 comments I finished The Void of Mist and Thunder (The 13th Reality #4) by James Dashner (the last book of the 13th Realty series) today. This was a good one. Not an all time great series, but fun all the way through with a super good ending. I recommend.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 93 comments I finished How to Train Your Dragon (How to Train Your Dragon, #1) by Cressida Cowell this morning. A quick, fun, solid read.

I'll probably take the weekend off from reading to get some outlining done before getting to the library on Monday.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 93 comments I finished Saga, Volume 1 (Saga #1-6) by Brian K. Vaughan Saga, Volume 2 (Saga #7-12) by Brian K. Vaughan Saga, Volume 3 (Saga #13-18) by Brian K. Vaughan and absolutely loved them. They're for "mature readers", so I can't recommend them to everyone, but if you're of an age/maturity level that you can read them, I recommend them highly.
