SOLVED. Similar to KA Linde's "Off the Record" politician involved with reporter [s]

Reading the description of K.A. Linde's Off the Record, I became confused there was a sequel as I thought this one ended with a HEA. Now I realize I've confused it with another similar book.

The book I read involved a reporter (maybe? and similar to Off the Record I thought she was still in college) who becomes involved with a politician running for office. She goes on the campaign with him and he woos her and they sleep with each other.

He has a wife, but they're married in name only and it turns out she's sleeping with the campaign manager. They let the heroine take the fall with the press.

After the fallout with the press, she gets whisked away to his private island with a bodyguard. They almost kiss, but it's mostly the bodyguard's feelings for her. I'm not sure if the politician/hero wins the election, but it ends with the two of them getting married and I think the wife/campaign manager are there and everyone's happy except it's kind of weird.

I read this Kindle book sometime in the past 6 months... Any ideas?

I know, I know! I think it was a week after I wrote this that I ran across Chase under my read books. One of those huge sigh of reliefs after it drove me crazy for so long.
