Yeah, I'm in many challenges too, but I like doing them and always looking for others. I have lots of time to read as I'm disabled (bedridden), so I can spend all my day reading

Yeah, I'm in many challenge..."
Sorry to hear that - didn't know. You're always so positive. It's great that books can take us away!

Space 40 - 4th book in a series.
4 stars

In the last three books of the series, we are introduced to three sisters who own the B & B in Lucky Harbor. This time around we are introduced to three additional women who have become friends due to a snow storm that caught them off guard at the local diner. In the last book, a mysterious guy came to town and was plastered on Facebook by the enduring character Lucille. As small towns go, this town has no secrets. All one has to do is read the gossip on FB!
Mallory is the good girl of the town and with the prodding of her two new friends wants to date a bad guy. Ty (mystery guy) is all wrong for her and doesn’t plan to stay in Lucky Harbor for long. Ty and Mallory’s story is fun, heartwarming, and definitely sexy. Once you arrive in Lucky Harbor Washington, you won’t want to leave

I would have rolled but hadn't heard back from you so I didn't.

I am definitely reading an alternate. Have at least 3 to choose from that I need for reviews. I will look through them when I get home from work and choose one. Won't be able to start it until late this weekend.

I'm reading it for a review as well. Should be a quick read. I'll be starting it as soon as I write a review for a book I just finished.

1/2 way done - ok so far - pretty dysfunctional

I went with the alternate, no people on the cover

Review
The story takes place in France at a friend's inn. There are lots of emotions and dysfunction throughout. Olivia and Brody are the bride and groom. She has two grown daughters - one an overachiever and star in her field, the other an actress who doesn't get too many jobs. Their lives are in crisis which of course spills over to the visit. Throw in a playboy best man, the inn owners who are not speaking to each other and it's a trying time.
Once the "history" was behind us the story flowed better and there was a happily ever in the end that didn't seem like it would happen.

After reading this book, I have decided to read other reviews to see how mine compares. It appears that I am in the minority of my rating as most readers are including this as a 5 star read. I did like the references to 80’s video games as that is probably the last time that I played. Perhaps if I was a gamer, I would appreciate this book more than I did.
It’s 2044 and the world is definitely different than now. Poverty and war rule. Most of the citizens spend their time in a virtual world called OASIS. Like the real world, money is required to move from room to room or to different locations. Wade, the protagonist is a poor teenage boy who loves to play games. He is the happiest when he’s in OASIS and even attends school virtually. Avatars are used in OASIS, which helps to keep identities in check.
The inventor of OASIS dies and has a game of sorts set up for anyone who can solve three puzzles first. His vast fortune will be given to the first person that solves all three. Wade gives the reader a synopsis of how he was challenged and won. I would have liked to see more suspense rather than simply discussing his antics. It was definitely a decent book, and I enjoyed all of the 80’s banter including the actual games and movies, such as Star Wars! A fun and entertaining read.

I sometimes do read some other reviews after the fact especially if my rating tends to deviate a lot from others.
I do wish goodreads would go to the 1/2 star rating because really that's what mine was rated for my full review but listed it as a 4 here.

Space 48 - 8th book in a series

Review: I was looking forward to Donavan's book. It wasn't a favourite of mine, but it was still enjoyable. I did like the characters and story, I just thought that the feelings of love were really a bit quick. I do love the Kelly family and the support for each other. All in all I still enjoy this series and looking forward to more KGI adventures.

Review:
This is the second book I've read by Rainbow Rowell. Attachments was really funny and had me laughing at the witty dialogue. Rowell does amazing dialogue! Landline is more serious. It's still romantic and lovely and really well written, but it is not a funny book, although it does have comedy in it as Georgie is a comedy writer after all.
It tells a story of Georgie, married to Neal and a working mom of two girls, Alice and Noomi. Georgie writes television shows with her long time writing partner and best friend Seth and they finally get an opportunity to get their show on air, the one they've been imagining and dreaming of for years. The only problem is that they have just 9 days to write and present the 4 episodes and it's Christmas time and Georgie has promised Neal they will spend the holiday in Omaha with Neal's family. She ends up staying behind at home working as Neal takes the girls to his home.
As she struggles to cope with being away from her girls and especially Neal, wondering what has happened and if she has ruined everything, Georgie discovers her old yellow rotary phone in her childhood home. Her cell phone has battery problems and she ends up using the old landline to call Neal. Only this is Neal in year 1998, not now.
It sounds a bit silly, but the story is lovely. Georgie thinks through how she and Neal met, their entire relationship, the highs and the lows. I could really relate to this. Having kids, how they change the relationship, the moment in life when you start to question the things you thought you needed and wanted in order to be happy. I actually enjoyed Landline more than Attachments. I think it kind of shows how every love story is epic. It doesn't need to be full of struggle before the happy ending. Every love story is the greatest for the people involved.

Amy, let me know if you need me to roll tonight or if you're available to do it.
Won't be around much this weekend so don't be alarmed if you don't hear from me until later on Sunday. May not be able to pick my book til then either unless something jumps out at me after the roll.

book 5 or 8 in a series or alternate is black (cover needs to be at least 50% black)
Happy hunting!

Probably won't decide until Sunday at this point.
Off to bed!

Happy Reading!"
Nice that you're continuing!

Can probably use for other challenges too. Found it on my Nook but not one I needed for review.

Shattered Bonds is the final book in the Wicked Play series. It starts with something major happening, so this book deals with the aftermath of that and the romance of Noah and Liv. I was sad to know this would be the last book as each book has gotten better and better. This one was excellent, great epilogue. I am looking forward to the spinoff series.
