BINGO R18 | Discussion Thread
Hey guys! Welcome to R18! During this round, when applicable, a link to SOS' bookshelves will be included with the GR-shelf link. Players are encouraged to explore SOS' bookshelves in addition to GR's shelves to find a book fitting the weekly shelf announcement.
If anyone has any questions ahead of the game, please feel free to ask. If you'd like to be a standby player, please let us know that on the signup thread.
Helloooo :-)So excited for this round! But then I say that for practically every round since I joined hehe.
I always get a chuckle at how many people tag books with one or two sex scenes as "erotica". (currently perusing the paranormal erotica shelf but I see it a lot with other books)
I forget, are stand-alones ok if it's on the shelf? I'm having some trouble with the Anticipated reads of 2018 shelf. Just scanning for books I have already shelved as wanting to read and would prefer not to skip ahead in a series or start a new one until I finish a few others first-if I can avoid that.

Melissa wrote: "Dark Urban Fantasy!?!?! That sound like something I would love ... off to browse!"Hope you find something ya like, Miss Melissa 😁
Wow.. those shelves look great!!!! *happy dance* time to make my lists :D (and in the end still choose another book lol)

That sounds so familiar haha!
I do the same thing!Finding possible books for the shelves just helps fill the void of waiting for the game to start.
Lis wrote: "I like the emphasis on using the SOS bookshelf. Get your books added!"Yes, what Lis said!!!!
And add some shelves to them as well, its really easy :D
Ugh I just realized that I'm working on the 13th. So I won't get to really get started until the evening of the 14th at the earliest. That's a bummer.

LOL! Aren't there like 40+ books? 😬 She loves teasing me with it b/c when we were teammates I was reluctant to get into a series that big.
Steph wrote: "LOL! Aren't there like 40+ books? 😬 She loves teasing me with it b/c when we were teammates I was reluctant to get into a series that big."Almost to 50 now.
There's way more than 40 now, JD Robb keeps pumping out, I think, 2 books a yr plus her Nora Roberts books.

No. I am savoring each one so I can tease Steph during Bingo.
Moondance wrote: "They are a consistent 5 star read for me."Me too. But I'm caught up in the series. Each new release is a day one read for me.
😜 y’all can try all ya like. No plans to start it. But, if I do I’m sure I’ll regret not starting sooner and then y’all can razz me about that.

Steph wrote: "😜 y’all can try all ya like. No plans to start it. But, if I do I’m sure I’ll regret not starting sooner and then y’all can razz me about that."Can I join my voice to that? J.D. Robb was the author who gave me push to read in English, as her books weren't published in Spanish anymore.

And I'm happy you did! I love chatting with you , my friend.

They are good and the futuristic twist is fun. I should be caught up in 3 more years. 🤪
😁 Glad you found your team, Stephanie. I’m not sure if everyone notices, but I’ve created a team assignment thread last few rounds to help track your team.
Steph wrote: "😜 y’all can try all ya like. No plans to start it. And then I caught up to the new releases within 6 months of that! They are addictive. :)
That's insane, Laura! o.OBut they do go fast once you start... I've finally started the series in 2017 and am taking it slow. I've finished the first 7 but haven't read any in a few months now.
For me, it isn't In Death that keeps popping up all over the shelves though, it's BDB. Looks like I'm going to get caught up on that series this round ;-) Last round it was Psy-Changeling for practically every shelf.
