Favourite characters in each series

My favourite characters :
TOS : Spock,also liked McCoy.
TNG : Picard,Riker,Data,Troy,hard to choose.
Voyager : The Doctor and Janeway.And,of course,Seven of Nine.Chakote is not bad either,and Paris has his moments too.

TNG: Troi, and I guess Data also. But mostly Troi.

DS9: Kira.

VOY: Janeway, Janeway, Janeway! She's my favorite Star Trek character, period. :) I also really like Chakotay, and also B'Elanna a little bit, too.

ENT: Tripp, I guess, if I need to pick one.

DISCOVERY: Hm. Georgiou, I think.

DS9: Dax (both of them), Kira, Quark, Garak, Kor

ENT: Porkroast, or whatever the beagle was named. Best actor on the show.

STD: The bubbly redhead, who far as I can tell is the only semi-original character on the show. (I can't say much though, since I'm not rich, so I've never actually had access to a full episode of STD.)

Again, I only know basically the first four old shows.
I like Spock, Data, and The Doctor because I like how they reveal more about what it means to be human, because they are almost/ kinda human and they get stories where that theme is explored.

I'm not sure I'd be a fan of the shows if it weren't for those characters. Do the more recent series have characters like that?

I liked Trip a lot too in Enterprise. Voyager needed Tom Paris. A lot of story lines centered around him.
