Chelsey Stonehouse | 18 comments How long did it take you to read one book, on average, or the whole series, if you have read it? Could you go from one to the next? Did you have to break? I am on the 6th book, Lord of Chaos. I find myself having to read something in between two books or so before I go back. It’s usually something random or the terry brooks series.

Nona Pelfrey | 3 comments I'm not sure on the time it takes me to read one book or the series. I try to read at least a couple of chapters before bed each night. Sometimes more if I have more free time. I prefer to read the entire series without reading anything else in between. I've always been this way with any series that I read. I'm one of those people that can only read one book at a time also.

Evan (naturescreed) | 5 comments Took me a little over a year to get through the whole series, averaged about one book every 3 weeks until the middle bit there where it bogs down. So I started supplementing it with The Dresden Files. Read a couple chapters of one, then the other, rinse and repeat. They are fast paced and have enough action that I could go back to WOT and trudge through until it started to pick back up again.

Shen | 7 comments I'd say around two weeks per book. I'm not a hardcore reader - I only read books on my way to work/home and at night before going to bed.

I've only completed the first book myself. I started it last Friday and completed it last night.

Tracey (stewartry) | 1 comments Heh - it took me seventeen years to read the series. I picked up the first book in the store where I was working my first job, having no idea in the world it would be almost two decades before the whole thing got wrapped up. It was a heck of a journey.

message 10: by Ariane (new)

Ariane | 1 comments It took me almost an year to finish all the books. When I finished one I generally waited a couple of days to start the next.

message 11: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (byrdbibliophyle) | 2 comments The first few books took me about a month each. Then I slowed down and it took me a couple months for each book. I’m halfway through book 12 now, a year and a half after starting the series.

Chris King (cking83) | 2 comments I'm on the second book as we speak and going at a steady pace. The first book took me one month to finish and I chose to read a smaller novel (one of the Horus Heresy) between the 1st and 2nd which took me about a week to get through. It give me a nice break and a change of scenery. which leaves me eager to start the next instalment. Happy reading people and stay safe

Ryan | 20 comments 20 years for the whole series.

Michelle Kobus (rainbowsunset) Just finished the series a few days ago. It took about 8 years, give or take. That averages less than two books a year, but gosh, it feels like a long time (and a lot of pages!) for those characters to live inside my head. I really miss it already. 😭😁

Edgarf | 6 comments I forgot when I started the series but I am pretty sure it was early spring. I am currently reading Winter’s Heart. It was not until this book that I felt like I was in the infamous slog. I’ve gone too far to stop now.

Lucian Bridges Took me a year to read the series

message 17: by Frank (new)

Frank Vaisey | 10 comments It took me about 8 years for the initial read as I had to wait for books to be written and published. it was a long wait. I did a couple re-reads as the Brandon Sanderson volumes came out. I believe my last reread took 4 months beginning to end.

message 18: by Hoang (new)

Hoang (hoangh98) | 1 comments took me around 1 month and a half to 2 months to finish. But, I always read when I have free time.

Edgarf | 6 comments I just finished reading the book today. I picked up the first book 11 months ago in early May. It was worth the read.
