I was going to suggest either: 1) Strangers by Barbara Elsborg (you loved Thoughtless, and it gave me the same feels as Thoughtless BUT I read it way back when, so I'm not sure about standing the test of time) or 2) Secret Lucidity by E.K. Blair, which is a great student/teacher romance.

But, but, BUT!

You loved This Man by Jodi Ellen Malpas, right? So how about her new book, Gentleman Sinner?! It's supposed to have a major This Man feel and... Paula 😘gave it 5 stars--and she does NOT give those lightly.

Annnd if you decide to read it, we can BR if you want. I'll put whatever aside to read it because I've really been looking forward to it but had forgotten about it.

I did love This Man but not sure about Gentlemen Sinner. Sounds dark & suspense-ish and its not KU. ☹

Great review Jean! I loved that book so hard. Like you, don't know what it was exactly so I put it down to the writing. I forget books I read all the time but I won't forget this one. I do wish the age thing was a bit closer together.

Stephanie, I 4-starred B13 as well. I really liked it. But somehow I just couldn't get hooked on the sequel. It's on my gbl shelf. Just seemed to be taking toooo loooonnngg to get anywhere. Interesting that you liked Bk 2 better, Jean. Maybe I'd better try it again.

Hey everyone, I received a message from Jenn yesterday. She hasn't been on much lately because her dad was recently diagnosed with stomach cancer. She's pretty distraught. Apparently he had been losing a lot of weight recently for no reason, had gone to the doctor and received the diagnosis. I'm not sure what his treatment plan or anything else is. I just know she said she's been spending a lot of time with her family and that it's been hard because she's very close with her dad. She said it was okay for me to share with you all because they can use all the prayer and positive thoughts right now. She probably won't be on here much for a while and she wanted to let us know what was going on.
