ok it says you need to 'remove the protection'

Yea so apparently when I first "copied" the spreadsheet someone had edited the master and I copied their edits I erased all the things they had on their which probably is what messed up the formulas somehow though I don't really know how to do that stuff so not sure how or where I messed it up but it was prolly then

Which range are you needing unprotected? Also is there a reason the formulas have to be right? Since we are just using it show which descriptions have a planned book, whats read already, and what we still have left.

I am SO sorry. Is there another spot that will work for your book? Or would you mind putting it in Round 2? If neither of those work out, I can see if Sarah can delete my points/post from the review thread for my error.

Hey guys can we stop banking things in slots if it doesn't fit the bonus? Bank it in a slot that fits the bonus or in a slot with no bonus. That way its not taking up a slot and not getting the Bonus points. Also if you are having trouble finding a book that fits the Bonus for the slot please let me know and I will help you find something that way we can get as many bonus points as possible.

I had to delete almost all my banked books because they don't get bonus points. I don't think we need to worry so much about bonus points in future rounds when we're still on part 1. But, whatever the team wants.

Well I was looking at it as there is a ceiling for the amt of points we can get in this type of challenge this ceiling only raised by each individual book page numbers and buddy read points, however trying to find titles that fit the descriptions is tricky if your also picky about page numbers being high. Therefor if we assume that the other teams are trying to get the bonus points we won’t even get near the ceiling if we don’t try as well. I was thinking in the long run if we don’t try to get bonus points then in essence we will already be behind them. I haven’t really been paying attention to how the other teams are playing but if we want to forgo the bonus points and hope they are as well and that in the end it won’t matter I’ll stop trying so hard to read things that fit the descriptions bonus included.

Do y’all not care about the bonus? If the team would rather not try to get bonus then I can reign in my OCD and we can just wing it.

I’m a little embarrassed as I’ve been so focused on making sure my titles hit each description that I’ve not even been paying attention to the amt of page points I’m getting so I may have put us at a disadvantage since several of my books have only been 2 or 3 pointers.

Yes I definitely care about the bonus, and also if we can try to do more BRs we can increase our point count too. Plus the good thing in this challenge is we can use the book page count from the version of the book with the highest page count.

I'll be reading a lot of Anita Blake books that have high page counts and BR points. I think some of them are also classified as "junk" so it would work for that one too.

I do care about the bonus, I just don't want books I or others are reading to go to waste if they don't fit another category. I am competitive and want to win, but I also want everyone on our team to have fun.
I'm not trying to argue with anyone or be rude, so I hope I'm not coming across that way. Whatever is best for the team is totally fine with me. When I get a chance, I'll go over my read books and see if they can fit anywhere else.

Your fine Aly we all have books that need to be read but just don't fit with a bonus not matter how much we try. Those books we will have to forgo the bonus on as they have been read and have every right to be counted. Maybe we can give them a special colour so everyone knows which ones they are. It's going to take a bit of organisation on all our parts but it will come together.
Buddy reads do play a huge part in who will win a challenge also so if we can we should all try to buddy up where possible. I must admit it has been a lot harder to buddy read for this challenge because of the bonus points.

@Tiera Bonus points are defiantly the aim in this challenge an yes we do suffer in the page count because of it but most times the bonus will get you more points than a big book with no bonus so in my opinion don't fret over the page count for this particular challenge and again buddy reads are they key to the best results.
I am so glad I don't have OCD this challenge must have you pulling out your hair.
