Tiera McMillian (hawtmess) | 3419 comments Maybe Roar (Witches & Warlocks, #3) by R.M. Webb but its book 3 in a series and I didn't want to go back and try to make books 1 and 2 fit somewhere so I could read it. Granted I'm challenging myself further by trying to only pick books from KU unless I have an ARC or own something already...

I don't think that will work for the bonus.
+5 bonus points if your chosen book actually has the title 'Roar'
I think the title has to be "Roar" not have the word "Roar" in it.

message 104: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 1721 comments Okay - I can read Roar

OOO that one looks perfect!

Tiera McMillian (hawtmess) | 3419 comments An Assassin's Death (The Huntress #1) by A.K. Koonce I'mma do this for #13!

Tiera McMillian (hawtmess) | 3419 comments Ok we seem to be plotting right along for Round 1. So I would like to start speculating and discussing round 2. Heads up I read stupid fast so I'm a 2-3 book a day kind of gal, but I'm not down with rushing anyone, so I'd like to be able to pick up some from other people if I finish mine.. and then maybe start reading for round 2 and just hold off on posting reviews till the team is ready. That being said, what are you guys' thoughts? Can I just rampage through my "possibilities" list for round 2 or do I need to random those numbers as well and hope that we can finish round 2 in time for me to get to round 3 so that I can read everything else on my list? Not sure how you guys want to play "round 2" also, which team members are planning on reading for round 2 and which players will be reading 12 books only?

message 108: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 1721 comments I read about 40 books a month so I'm good with going on to Round 2, Round 3, etc. I'm also fine with anyone who finishes books faster that works for that round to go ahead and use it. We can always move the other book to the next round.

message 109: by Tiera (new)

Tiera McMillian (hawtmess) | 3419 comments Awesome! I know Aly reads a lot also! Let’s see where everyone else stands and then we can decide how to play round 2!

message 110: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 11128 comments Okay sounds good! I've been reading about 40 books a month also

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments Hi everyone, sorry for being so quiet and MIA, I have exams till tomorrow (included) and then I am free so I'm mostly studying >.<

message 112: by Gillian (new)

Gillian Murrell | 3686 comments I don't have a problem with anyone taking some of my spots as I will be a lot slower than the fast readers. However I would like it if you move my books to the next available round so I don't need to change what books I am going to read. Please check with me to make sure I am not already reading the book, or if I have a buddy read that the timing will not be disrupted. I hope this sounds like a fair way of doing it. Please speak up if you don't think it will work.

message 113: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 11128 comments I definitely think that's fair Gillian. I will check with the person before I read for one of their spots.

message 114: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 1721 comments I agree - totally fair.

Yes! Communication is key here!

Sorry I've been MIA most of the day trying to finish A Feast for Crows (A Song of Ice and Fire, #4) by George R.R. Martin because I saved it to the very last day in the February challenge 🤦‍♀️.. Are we all set to start this challenge? It may be the 1st already where some of you are? I still have hours.. so I'm going to try to read one more before Feb deadline rolls around!

message 116: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 11128 comments I might finish 1 more kindle book, but I'm not sure. I have my audio ready for #10 so we should get those bonus points!

message 117: by Gillian (new)

Gillian Murrell | 3686 comments It is already the 1st here but I prefer to wait for Goodreads time.

message 118: by Edit~A (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments I just have 2 ARC that I have to read FOR SURE FOR SURE, if the don't match with my spots and you can switch one of yours with me, that would be nice, or we can use it for the second Round

message 119: by Tiera (new)

What ARCs do you have? Do you know where they fit yet?

message 120: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 1721 comments If I can BR anything let me know and I'll try. We can always use the books for round 2 if needed.

Gillian Murrell | 3686 comments By Fairy Means or Foul (Starfig Investigations, #1) by Meghan Maslow
I am going to read this one first as part of
33. Read 3 books with 200 - 300 pages. (These don't have to all be read by the same person.)
It is available on KindleUnlimited if anyone would like a quick buddy read.

message 122: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 1721 comments I'll read it with you - I can use it for another challenge if I can't fit it into this one. Can we read it sometime after/on 3/11?

Ok I can do it on the 11th I will ask for the thread we can fit it into the same category as 3 books are needed to fill that one I can move one of my books I had in there to round 2

message 124: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 11128 comments I am starting on my book now and should have it done by 1 (1300) so we get bonus points

message 125: by Tiera (new)

Tiera McMillian (hawtmess) | 3419 comments Get it girl!!

message 126: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 1721 comments Okay I finished a book today but I started Feb 27 - can I count that or only books I started on March 1st?

message 127: by Tiera (new)

Tiera McMillian (hawtmess) | 3419 comments Hmmm good question. Usually you can count any pages read in the month of the challenge but since this is a description challenge I don’t think it will work that way this time. Usually even if you do get those page points you don’t get to count any challenge specific bonus or description points.. if what I just said makes sense. Lemme comb through the rules rq and see if there is an answer if not we will have to ask Sarah.

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments Jammin Jenny wrote: "Okay I finished a book today but I started Feb 27 - can I count that or only books I started on March 1st?"

* Books started before March may only be used to earn points for pages read in March, and cannot be used to complete any descriptions. We will also only give points on a maximum of 3 books started before March per person.

message 129: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 1721 comments Thanks! I'll skip any books not started March 1st or later.

message 130: by Aly (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments I finished a book, I was craving for a short read we can use it for Round 2 Defy (Sinners of Saint, #0.5) by L.J. Shen if it doesn't work for any of my categories.

I think onlt the ones from March 1st count, but mayb eyou can count the number of pages since you read from March 1st. (if it's still a thing in this group, used to be)

message 139: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Tiera McMillian (hawtmess) | 3419 comments Ok I'm adding Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1) by Tahereh Mafi to the new banked tab for #4. It can also fit in a couple other places like #34, or #52. Other places as well but doesn't fit the bonus! I just finished the BR today.

message 149: by Tiera (new)

Tiera McMillian (hawtmess) | 3419 comments I just read Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson and I've been legit boohoooing now for 30 mins. Never read it before. Picked it up from Goodwill with a load of other middle grade and ya books for my 11 yo daughter a couple years ago. Now I've made her start it too lol. It was so good, and so sad!

message 150: by Jammin Jenny (new)

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 1721 comments That is an awesome book - and the movie is good too.
