Ok Bookbuyer walked me through how to start this thing! So how do ya'll want to do this? I haven't spent in depth time with the sheet of descriptions but I have found books for these numbers so far.. I'm super flexible but suck at finding books for these things so everything is negotiable!*See Spreed Sheet*
We can all have to pick at least 12+ (If you pick more than 12 and aren't able to read any extra above 12 just give a shout out so someone can pick up your extras) or randomly split up equally or each take a section of 10 and then do 2+ from unmanned sections. If we do that and you need suggestions for any of the numbers above you can some of the titles I have listed most (other than the ARCs) are available via KU. I tried to find books that other people could readily have access to. I am not sure if I did the Spreed Sheet right because every time I clicked on the main link Sarah posted it took me to Team Sarah's stuff.. I made a copy and deleted all their stuff so we could use it. I haven't ever done a challenge like this so lets hear some suggestions!
I am attempting to copy the spreed sheet and set it up for us but I don't know what I am doing.
It's really simple. Click the link for the SS. Go to file. Scroll down till you find copy. Click copy and a box will pop up. Name your SS what you want. Click okay. It should pop up. :)

It should pop up. :)"The problem is I think someone edited the master.. so I was having to erase all the other teams stuff off my copy I figured out how to erase it though. But the master is compromised now I think..

I'll let Natalie know. In erasing yours you MIGHT have messed with the formulas. I doubt it but I would hate for you SS to not be perfect.

If you click on the master you'll now see the original which team sarah used I think and then my copy as well.
I looked at the master and it seems fine to me. O.o

I'm sure it will still work though

No I think it should be fine still I mean we just use it to show what we are doing and what is already done basically its not like Sarah is going to use it to figure out points or anything

What do you say about using random.org to randomly choose our descriptions and make it more challenging for us to find books :D I love to read randomly I do not plan, so I will try to find something on the way there even if you don't agree with randomizing, so you go ahead and choose :)

Ok once everyone else gets on and checked in we can see how many books everyone plans to read and we can random if that is what you guys want to do!
I've linked the spread sheet up top with all the ones I've found books for. I'm planning on reading about 40-50 books this month but I probably won't be able to make them all fit the challenge so hopefully I can get at least 12 numbers I have a book for!
Out of curiosity is random.org able to randomize #s 1-70 and split between 6 people a certain amount? Because some people will only want to read exactly 12 books and not go over.
Ok if ya'll all want to do random I posted a 6 column random at the top.. Unfortunately it doesn't let me line it up perfectly and the 2 people on the end only got 11 but there it is!If ya'll decide to pick and choose the spreadsheet is available to fill in anything you want, or if your like me and need to plan ahead because once the month starts you won't have time to find books often. Anyone is welcome to the titles I have listed if you want to use them if we random! Or if anyone wants to BR any of that mess lol! I probably won't be doing any BR's hardly. I'm already too anxious just about finding books for numbers and I don't want to over do it trying to find books for the numbers and then trying to keep up with a bunch of BRs. Ill fit them in when I can.
I'm here! So excited to be on a team with you Tiera, since you're kicking my butt this month in points lol. I need to reread the Labyrinth rules again, because the number thing is confusing to me. But I plan on reading 30 books and I'll read whatever you need me to.
Heya Aly I got ya checked in! If you look at the spread sheet you'll see all the descriptions we need to meet under the tab "Round 1" each description has a number in a section. There are 10 #s in a section and 7 sections to complete. We get bonus points for some individual descriptions, for completing a round and for completing the whole thing in its entirety. After completion we start over on round 2. In order to divide up the different descriptions amongst ourselves we can random the descriptions, which is the number thing above generated by random.org, and complete the descriptions coinciding with the numbers under our names. Or we can just pick and choose using the above Spreadsheet, or we can each take a section of 10 and then once done with our 10 move on to the unmanned section and start systematically checking them off. I'm down for whatever, I have started filling in the spreadsheet with books I have found that fit descriptions so however ya'll want to play it is fine.
Okay, thank you. That helps a lot. I think it would be good if each person had specific numbers assigned to them, randomly or otherwise. That way we don't get stuck on a category. But I am also good for anything :)
Awesome! Once Jazzy and Alex check in we can get their opinions and see where we stand! If everyone is down for the random we can start planning for the number columns above, and if anyone needs to trade a number or something we can tackle that issue as well.
Just FYI we can't "move" on to round 2 till round 1 is complete so if someone completes their numbers they should just start picking up numbers to help out.. We will have to be super communicative during this challenge so we don't accidentally pick up a number someone is currently working on.
I am going to work on my numbers from the random list, just incase we are going to go that way. As I am not going to have a lot of time to search out books and get them here.
:( Cant add my books to the SS till I get accepted. I am in Australia so my hours are out of whack to most of you I suppose. Anyway I will just have to hope they are still free in a couple of days time. I may not have a chance to update the SS as its my daughters engagement party tonight and we have lots of guests to entertain for the next few days.

SO can I just clarify that we each choose RED/ORANGE/YELLOW/GREEN etc. and then Part Seven is the leftovers/randoms?
Also, I'm also sorry since my times will be out of wack too. I'm from South Africa so I'm literally smack bam in the middle of Australia and America, 8 hours ahead of America and 8 hours behind Australia! So I'm sorry if I don't reply right away.
Unfortunately, after signing up I've fallen into a bit of a reading slump, but I'm more than happy to do the 12 and then hopefully my slump will be over and I'll be able to pick up more! :)
As for the section or specific ten books to work on, can I please do the Green section? I have a lot of books that work with that one :)

I don't mind doing that but I do think that some of them are harder than other in the RED/ORANGE etc. sections so I would suggest that we each get sections randomly assigned to us then? That way, the hard questions aren't all left to the end and one person has to pick it up. Maybe that's a bit of an over exaggeration on my part and I'm just crap of thinking of books to suit!
Either way, I'm fine if you guys do want to have the randomly assigned questions - I just think it will be easier to manage assignments in sections.

If you check the opening (description) comment the numbers were already randomized. I don't think assigning 1 section to a person is right, but that's my personal opinion, while randomizing the whole thing seems fair to me, but again, that's just me :)

Hey guys, sorry I know I've been spamming the group a bit but I'm quite new to goodreads so what are 'tags' are how do you search them? :)
Tags are under genres. They are in the right hand side of a book page. :)
You can go to Browse and then lists and search keywords to find books that fit the descriptions. I love that we have people from all over here!! I'd love to travel to South Africa or Australia some day :)
Ok Alex I got you checked in! I removed all my book suggestions from "round 1" on the spreadsheet and moved them to the possibilities section.. I guess I missed that section to start with 🤦♀️. I also started color coding according to our random #'s at the start so It will be easier for you to see your numbers. Feel free to read any of my "possibilities" if you can't find one for a number. We can even BR them as I plan to read them all this month and post them when we get to round 2.
Ok Spread sheet is color coded let me know or fix any mistakes you might find.@ Gillian I noticed on number 61 your name is in but there isn't a book down. Im not sure if I accidentally erased it while I was trying to color code everything. If I did I'm so sorry. I didn't' have my mouse and was trying to use the mouse pad on the lap top and apparently I have fat finger syndrome or something...🤦♀️

lol no you didn't erase anything. I was trying to find as many as l could while I was at work yesterday. Sadly it got too busy and I didn't get them all done.
I have just added a couple more from the random numbers that I knew I had books for. I will be out looking after family for most of today so I many not get anymore filled in till tomorrow.
Will he word 'LATER' in the title be considered as 'LATE' as well? what do you think?
