This exercise was not suggested in the book, but I thought it was a fun idea and I made my boyfriend do it too. If I only had 5 fucks to give about anything for the rest of my life, I chose:
1. Kids
2. Marriage
3. Family (including pets)
4. The environment
5. My health
It made me realize that I should stop trying to force myself to make friends when, clearly, friendships aren't that important to me. And I should stop trying to force myself into being a career woman when I obviously want to center my life on family. These were really helpful realizations, and it was nice to get my boyfriend to do it, too (and to see that we gave fucks about mostly the same things!).
