Have you read the books in the Vampire Academy series? Tell us your thoughts and the book to connect with other fans.

Jessica I read the first book and I didn't like it. I found it to be boring.
I loved the spin-off series though, Bloodlines!

My friend said she liked Bloodlines a lot better than the Vampire Diaries books. I haven't read either, but it seems that more people like the spin off.

Irene (raenne) I have read the first four books. Don't know why, but I find them very hard to get into! The first 100-200 pages are so slow!

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 318 comments I read book 1 and thought it was good. Not great, but good. Gonna start Frostbite pretty soon.

Nikita I love Vampire Academy. It is a great series. It has a great story with great characters both to love and hate. It has a great romance that had me jumping up and down.

Rose is my favorite character of the Vampire Academy series. I also love the sequel series Bloodlines. Though it's hard for me to choose between the two which I love more.

Uzma Parveen (ultimatebookmaniacs) | 3 comments VA is the BEST SERIES I have ever read, and I have read more than 250 books.. As you can ask any member of our #VAfamily. I have read this series 5 times & can still reread it again & again. I like Bloodlines, but not more than VA.

You'll find first book okay. It's just about setting the background. It's not until you've read the Whole series that you'll appreciate it more.

The REAL STORY starts in the second book & the 3rd one is my favorite in the series. It's the kind of book that you won't be able to stop until you've finished it..

LOVE THIS SERIES

I know the first book is okay.. give the 2nd & 3rd book a chance.. I bet you'll love it.. :) the first book is just about setting the background. The real story starts with the second one..

The series gets better with each book.

Connie (proseandconnie) | 16 comments The series improves as it goes on! I've only read the first five so far, and I'm currently on the sixth. As of right now, the third book is my favorite and the fourth my least favorite.
Overall, a pretty entertaining series with cool plots and admirable characters. The prose isn't the best, though, and there are occasional info-dumps (especially in book 1).

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 318 comments I'm in the first 1/3 of Frostbite and already enjoying it as much or more than book 1.

I think I'll make a Bloodlines folder, too. I haven't read them, so I always forget about it. Oops. lol
