Carly Wiggins | 2 comments Looking for book reviews of my Christian fiction short stories series called June's Faith. You can start with the first or read the sequel first. I believe they can be stand-alone books. They are available as paperback and eBooks on Amazon. Here's a shorter description of each book:

June's Faith June’s Faith (June's Faith Book 1) by Carly Wiggins
Hey God, are you listening? Or speaking?

June is a writer for a popular music magazine and is best known for having one of the last interviews with David Bowie before he died. But she is often struggling to find the balance in her life with her faith.

God has always been her anchor in life, and she struggles to find time to talk with him - but life has a way of bringing us to our knees.

Wrestling with the heartache of losing a sister and friend, June struggles to forgive God. But God has more for her life than she realizes.

It’s not until she learns to let go that God begins to show her the life she was meant to have. Purpose, romance, marriage, and a family.

Will June learn the power of forgiveness so she can impact others?

June's Faith: The Adventure Continues June's Faith The Adventure Continues (June's Faith Book 2) by Carly Wiggins

In this captivating sequel, we reunite with June, Jimmy, Meredith, and introduce some unforgettable new characters. As the story unfolds, we witness the continued growth and transformation of our beloved protagonists as they navigate life's challenges with unwavering faith and determination.

Ashray Jha | 2 comments Dear Goodreads Community,
I'm thrilled to announce the release of my book, 'So You Want to Be a Superinvestor?' This book goes beyond investing—it's a transformative journey that challenges conventional wisdom and empowers both novice and experienced investors to navigate their own paths, with me as their guide.

Writing this book was a journey of overcoming personal challenges. Diagnosed with a benign brain tumor at the age of ten, I faced significant physical and emotional hurdles, including loss of muscle mass, coordination, and speech. Despite these obstacles, my determination to understand and succeed in the world of finance never wavered. Through perseverance, extensive therapy, and an unwavering belief in resilience, I not only regained my abilities but also completed my education and pursued my passion for investing. This book is a testament to overcoming adversity and achieving your dreams, no matter the challenges.

In the saturated investment landscape, 'So You Want to Be a Superinvestor?' offers a fresh perspective that makes complex financial ideas easy to understand. By blending personal stories with insights from top investors like Warren Buffett and other Superinvestors, the book aims to demystify the stock market. It highlights the importance of being prepared, understanding economic cycles, adapting to the changing business landscape, and maintaining a margin of safety.

I delve into the concept of compounding, which Albert Einstein famously called the "eighth wonder of the world." Compounding can be tricky, but it is a powerful tool for building wealth over time. The key is to start early, find wonderful investments, and stay consistent to see its full benefits.

My goal is twofold: First, to show that anyone, regardless of their background or the challenges they face, can overcome obstacles and achieve their financial dreams. Second, to inspire readers to realize that nothing is stopping them from joining the ranks of the Superinvestors.

If you've read my book, I'd love to hear what you think. Could you take a minute to leave a review on Goodreads? Whether you loved it, found it helpful, or have some tips for improvement, your honest review will help others decide if it's right for them.
Thanks so much for your support! Can't wait to read your thoughts!

A clash between US and Chinese destroyers near the Spratly Islands prompts President Samuel Walters to launch an attack against one Chinese military base. To curb influence of Super PACs in the national political process, the President urges the Supreme Court to reverse its 2010 decision on the ‘Citizens United v FEC’ case. He then introduces the 28th Constitutional Amendment to set Congressional term limits. These measures seriously threaten corporate influence over Congress, and the secretive Omicron Group orders the President assassinated.

Andrew Payne was dying and knew it.

He had a great career as a virtual reality games designer, a woman he loved, and a promising future. Now, it was all gone. Too much sun, surf…and girls. That’s how he got a particularly nasty type of melanoma. His doctor told him he had five years to live, then twelve months, then four weeks.

His only hope was an experimental drug, and Andrew took a chance. He had nothing to lose. He recovered, but the drug had reset his internal body clock, and he was living in year one. With the prospect of a hundred years before him, the possibilities seemed endless. However, destiny had other things in store for him.

Eva Dabrowska | 3 comments Hey everyone!

I'm excited to share that my first book, When Everyone Left But You, was published a few days ago on Amazon. It's a heartfelt romance that I believe many readers will connect with. As an indie author without a big marketing team, I'm reaching out to you directly.

If you're interested in receiving a complimentary electronic copy to read and review, I’d love to send it your way, just send me message :)
I’ve included the blurb below so you can get a sense of what the story is about.

And if writing a full review isn’t your style, feel free to share some of your favorite quotes from the book on social media. All I ask is that you link back to me if you do.

Thank you for considering, and I hope you enjoy the journey of Grace and Luca!

Blurb:
Can two broken hearts heal each other?
In the tranquil, picturesque town of Meadow Creek, life moves at a gentle pace, surrounded by rolling hills, whispering pines, and vast fields as far as the eye can see. Yet, beneath this serene facade, it's the calm before a perfect storm that is brewing and grumbling in the distance — a storm that will not only push Grace to the edge of life and death but also into the arms of someone as special and broken as herself.
Grace and Luca, two souls scarred by past traumas, find solace and strength in each other's company. Grace, grappling with the scars of her troubled past and the fears of her yet uncertain future, tries to find her way in the whipping gusts of life. Luca, dealing with the wounds of shattered relationships, broken dreams, and social isolation, has retracted into a world where he believes nobody can hurt him anymore.
When fate lets their paths cross, neither of them knows how much they will become the light in each other's darkness. Through shared moments of vulnerability and laughter, they begin to uncover the pieces of their broken hearts. From the serenity of Luca's farm to the bustling streets of Ashford, their journey is one of healing, discovery, and the budding hope that two wounded hearts can indeed find a way to heal together.
In a tale rich with emotional depth and intimate revelations, will a love thought to be lost forever reignite? Grace and Luca must confront their fears and decide if they can truly overcome the shadows of their past and regain trust in one another. Can they together find the courage to let go of what was and embrace what will be?

This will lead whoever to the epub platforms for a greater in depth summation. The original story began on Earth, then my brain kept on going but it had to end. So the second novel is set at a galactic level but not ours. Third I am currently tapping away at is inter galactic and the fourth will end it unless it doesn't finish me first ha ha. If interested I shall deliver an epub file or PDF to your nominated email address. Then you have 100 days or more to rip into it. Shred it perhaps. It will get posted at the site. Become famous or even better infamous. Currently reading essays by Mr Oscar Wilde who certainly knows what's what and what's not. I shall look in twice a week perhaps but once definitely.

The History of Cadatas’ Exploration of the Milky Way: (Softcover: $30, 392pp, 7X10”: 978-1-68114-611-9; Hardcover: $35: 978-1-68114-612-6; Kindle: $9.99; Science Fiction & Fantasy—Science Fiction—Hard Science Fiction; September 1, 2024): At the peak of cadatas’ technological development, their business leaders attempt diverting an asteroid to mine its resources. A miscalculated maneuver misses the mine, and instead strikes their home world. With Cadata in ruins, a spaceship with three hundred explorers begins what would become a 100,000-year journey across the Milky Way, searching for a habitable world to relocate their perishing population. Cadata scientists gene-edit pilots to match the dominant species on each planet. Even with a 5,000-year lifespan, it takes them twenty-three generations to reach Earth. Chief pilots, Wocega and Ortack, and their descendants, face thrilling and terrifying challenges. Their bodies’ chemistry covers the spectrum of the periodic table, and their consistency alters from alcohol, to clouds, to metal. They are bombarded by diamond rain. They are enveloped in the sunless darkness of a roaming planet. They are compressed by pressures of extreme gravity, and dense atmospheres. Can even the most adaptable species endure a search for a new planet? This is the first captivating history of cadatas’ explorations from one of their expert historians, Ortack-23. Assisted by first ever translations of authoritative first-person archival accounts of cadata explorers, this history traces the geology of Cadata from the formation of this planet, through the events that led to its downfall, with a record of discoveries about alien habitats, and to their present attempts to become legal refugees on Earth. This is a one-of-a-kind theoretical and scientific defense of the presence of aliens on Earth, and of the scientific breakthroughs they achieved to reach us. It is accompanied with a bibliography of sources, an index, a galactic map of the journey, and a chronology of events. As humanity commences on its quest for life elsewhere in the universe, this encyclopedic study explains varieties of atmospheric conditions, and biological organisms as alien to Earth as Earth is to them.

I’m starting to wonder how self-published authors manage to promote their books when they can’t compete with the budgets, knowledge, experience, and contacts of traditional publishers. Do we have a chance to reach readers?

message 142: by Lutz (new)

Lutz Barz (almostvoid) | 10 comments Reach the readers. I used to be a publisher, internet only and the writers like you were there, on the platforms you chose. I went with an aggregator and its nil results all down the line. Years ago met an author, published who [at my now dead website] commented: its too much. Too many books. At your site there's a few that I can manage but the others, he trailed off. There were 60 authors and around 100 files. A few downloads per month. I think many readers are conditioned to accept the given, the predictable and the acceptable, like -save me, save my this, save my that, redemption, happy endings, reconciliation - everything I don't do ha ha. The same happened to Jules Verne. He did not want happy endings. But his publisher insisted, its more sales! Yet the greats never wrote for the public, they wrote and it worked, occasionally. I had a look at your book and its Bulgaria that ought to be of interest. There's too much of the same similarities of a setting which I avoid. Time for the Slivovich and some gerkins with black bread. Or cherry brandy. I wish you luck.

message 143: by Iva (new)

Iva Dimitrova (httpswwwfacebookcomid524) | 6 comments Haha, thank you! I also believe that the fact that the story is set in Bulgaria could be of interest. Moreover, I think that, without going into too much detail, my story and its characters reflect the aftermath of the unsuccessful transition from communism to democracy, which led to the rise of corruption and criminal groups. As a result, they became part of the collective psychology of future generations across all layers of society. I would be very grateful if you could give me some advice on how to use this to attract the right readers. The thing is, I'm not really into social media, nor do I have much knowledge about marketing. I just want to write and read.
If I can be of any help to you in return, I'm here for you.

message 144: by Iva (new)

Iva Dimitrova (httpswwwfacebookcomid524) | 6 comments I also believe there are too many similar stories out there... I'm saying this as a reader. But how can the different ones be promoted? Of course, I'm speaking from personal experience.

message 145: by Lutz (new)

Lutz Barz (almostvoid) | 10 comments There is a similarity in our disparate lives. My parents emigrated out of then West Berlin. Half my family on my fathers side was in the East. We went over twice. Grey country. But nothing like the West back then made out. Berlin however had The Wall. The transformation after 1989 was it first welcomed. But when the West Arrived with their plans, and basically shut everything down, and unemployment went up, the Market Economy showed itself what had remained beneath the mask. Yeltsin's Russian fiasco, the organised looting of the country created a quasi legal criminal class that then spilled over into Europe in the '90s. What occurred in Bulgaria is only now slowly emerging and it ain't pretty. However the Apparatchiks had to go obviously. Do your novel[s] ought to be out there en masse. Top seller etcetera.
Like you I don't do social media. For book readers like on Facebilge is useless. Tried it, left it. Marketing, well it's down to advertising. And the prices are ridiculous. At the moment I am exploring a translation into one of six languages since English isn't happening much. A dribble here and there when: free. I don't do TV so read and write like you as well.
Do you have a website. The reason I ask is I have and would link your site on mine. That is one way to aid the odds in your favour.
Until whenever then.

Iva Dimitrova (httpswwwfacebookcomid524) | 6 comments Thank you so much! Above all, thank you for your attention! I would be very happy if you had the chance to read my novel and share your opinion—I don't directly address the impact of the transition, but I think it shows through the story and the characters. As I mentioned, corruption and the mob mentality—getting rich quickly at others' expense—have permeated the mindset at all levels, I believe.
Thank you for the offer! A few days ago, I created a website for the book with a link to Amazon—https://ididntmeantobut.com
I would be glad if I could also be of help to you in any way. What could I do for you?

My novel is free for Kindle Unlimited users. If you don't have Kindle Unlimited, I'd be happy to offer you a gift card or another option that's convenient for you so you can take a look at it.
It would be truly exciting and interesting for me to hear the opinion of someone as knowledgeable as you.

Lutz Barz (almostvoid) | 10 comments I had a look at your site. No reciprocal links are possible. As for review I am so mentally unstable that I would not trust myself in remaining objective reading yours. It may be great and I really should if you can send a PDF or epub file. If you think my mental aberrations aren't of concern then please do send your novel. As for Redemption, that remains to be seen if the person's worth it. Since the background is fascinating and of another culture, I am so sick of the formulas we get lambasted with, that alone I think is worth a big plus.

Steven Roberts | 9 comments I published a book called "The Secrets of a Life Well Lived" which is based on years as an international executive NLP certified coach, business consultant and the blessing I've had in coaching so many high potential people and executives who simply needed a confidant, a collaborative partner and someone invested in their future and success! This is a truly an innovative approach to what I call SNLP & 'Mindset 360' holistic coaching. I'd love your honest assessment and feedback on the book and more importantly, I hope you find as much value and the transformative results others have said they've experienced as a result! Thank you for all of your support!https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

Lutz Barz (almostvoid) | 10 comments Without mentioning respondents, I am starting to get a bit suspicious about offers from reviewers who are a bit sparse on details at first, so that one has to drag the info out of them, or its autobot responders given the question is not answered. So my question is has anybody had reviewers one can depend upon? This is not about freebees but those whom one pays and they deliver. For instance a few have answered, this is not a paid review. They are facilitators to reviewers who review for nothing! I can't believe that. Or should I? No offers taken up as yet.
Recommendations are welcome.
